The next morning, they both exclaimed, "Yay, this is so fun!" at the top of the roller coaster ride. Jungkook had already planned everything, so after getting up early, he hurriedly got Y/n ready and took her to Bangkok's Dream World first thing, where they enjoyed various rides. Eventually, they found themselves on the roller coaster. Jungkook thought Y/n would be scared, but as soon as they entered Dream World, she rushed straight to the roller coaster, surprising him.
He managed to divert her attention because they hadn't eaten yet, and he knew it's best to go on the roller coaster with a empty or at least light stomach. So, he wanted her to eat something, enjoy everything else, and then finally go on the roller coaster. And he succeeded.
"This was so good, Jungkook. Thank you for bringing me here," Y/n said, catching her breath as she got off the ride. Jungkook also took a deep breath and replied, "Glad you liked it. Didn't know you were this brave to handle these scary rides with such excitement."
Y/n smiled. "There's so much you don't know about me, Jungkook," she said as Jungkook nodded.
"Yeah, but I'm eager to learn," he replied.
"Really?" Y/n asked as he nodded excitedly. She grabbed his hand and said, "Then let's go. I'll tell you all about me." She led him out of Dream World. Jungkook simply smiled and let her take the lead. After a while, he noticed they were heading towards a boat, realizing she was taking him boating.
"Wow, how did you know about this, Y/n?" he asked, surprised since it was her first time in Bangkok. She chuckled, "I'm smart too, Mr. Hubby. When you were asleep last night, I checked online." He looked impressed by her resourcefulness.
"My wife for a reason," he said, and she giggled.
"Yeah, now let's go, let's go boating now. I'm becoming impatient," she exclaimed.
"Yeah, let's go," Jungkook agreed as they settled onto the boat and enjoyed their time together.
Y/n always loved boating but never had the chance to try it until now. Yn and Jungkook enjoyed the scenery around them as much as they enjoyed each other's company.
The world around them felt entirely different from what they were used to. After boating, they visited a few temples and watched the sunset by the river. They also indulged in various street foods together and ended their day with a relaxing spa massage. Feeling tired from the day's activities, they strolled around the city enjoying their favorite ice cream.
"Mmm... Nothing beats this," Y/n hummed, closing her eyes to savor the delicious ice cream and the cool breeze against her skin. She always loved taking walks and indulging in her favorite treat. Jungkook smiled as he watched her.
"Did you enjoy today?" he asked. Y/n looked at him and nodded.
"So much. I don't have words to thank you enough, Jungkook," she said. He gazed at her, overwhelmed by his love for her.
"I feel the same, Y/n. I don't have words to thank you enough for brightening my life again. It was all dull until I found you," he said, melting her heart. The love he had for her was unimaginable. The way he loved her, and the way she loved him, was beyond anyone's imagination.
"It's just us against the world," Y/n said, smiling as they walked hand in hand.
After finishing their ice cream, they sat on a bench near the sea, feeling the cold breeze against their skin. Y/n shivered, and Jungkook noticed, attempting to cover her with his coat, but she stopped him.
"It's okay, Jungkook, I like this feeling," she said. Concerned, Jungkook replied, "But you'll catch cold, Y/n. You're literally shivering." Y/n smiled at him before gazing out at the sea again.
"This is less cold than those days, Jungkook," she said. Jungkook became confused, unsure which days she was referring to.
"Those days? Which days are you talking about, Y/n?" he asked. She gazed down as tears welled up in her eyes, remembering those days she never wanted to even think about. Feeling the warmth now, she was overwhelmed by everything. She had been holding back everything for so long, and it was becoming unbearable.
Jungkook noticed her sudden change in behavior and placed his hand on her shoulder. "Is anything wrong, Y/n? If you want, you can tell me," he said.
Y/n's heart began to race as she started experiencing creepy flashbacks, causing her chest pain. She knew it was time, the right time, to tell him everything, to tell him the truth. Y/n lifted her gaze and looked at him. Despite her tears, she slowly placed her hand on his, as Jungkook observed her every move.
"Jungkook..." She whispered softly, while he sat there, waiting for her to continue. She began, "I didn't know if I would ever tell you this, as I feared it would make me seem like an attention seeker. But right now, I feel like telling you... My past was a nightmare, Jungkook. I was born into a toxic family where my father drank every day, leading to fights with my mother. There wasn't a single day without their arguments. Fed up, my mother left my father and me alone. My father remarried, leaving me on my own since I was 12 years old."
Y/n stopped as a lump formed in her throat, and Jungkook's heart shattered as he listened to every word she said. He felt a mix of emotions that he struggled to handle.
She continued, "My parents never took me anywhere, Jungkook. After being left alone, I somehow managed to study and work to survive. I didn't know what warmth felt like until I found you. I used to sit outside in the cold for hours, shivering, waiting for their fights to stop... I felt suffocated, Jungkook. I felt like running away, I wished someone would come and fix everything. But that never happened, and I just suffered like that," Y/n said with tears in her eyes, looking into his teary eyes.
"It was unbearable, Jungkook. Somewhere in all that, I felt like giving up, but I'm glad I met you before that..." Jungkook didn't waste a second and quickly embraced her.
"I'm so sorry, Y/n. I'm so sorry that you had to go through so much. I'm so sorry," Jungkook said as Y/n sobbed on his shoulder, realizing she wasn't alone anymore, that she didn't have to feel that coldness again.
Jungkook rubbed her back, trying to ease her pain, and after some time, she stopped crying and pulled back. Jungkook wiped away her tears and gently caressed her cheeks. "Now, you don't have to worry about anything, Y/n. Anything. I'll always protect you," he said.
Y/n smiled and nodded. Jungkook smiled back, "Someone may not have told you, but you're the light everyone craves in their life, Y/n. You're the calmness people desire in chaos, the first rain in heavy summer, the first snowfall people wait for... You're the first bloom after spring, Y/n. You're the most beautiful thing that have ever happened to me," he said, as her eyes glittered with happy tears, knowing how much he cares for her, how much she means to him.
"I think now I know why people say that in order to feel warmth, you have to suffer in the cold. And for you, I can endure anything, Jungkook. Anything," Y/n said as Jungkook gazed at her.
"As long as I'm here, you won't have to suffer anymore, Y/n. I promise," Jungkook said, and she nodded, smiling. But then he remembered something.
"Wait, is that why you were taking those pills, Y/n?" he asked her. Her expression turned confused.
"Pills? What pills are you talking about?" Y/n asked.
"Those sleeping pills and antidepressants, Y/n," Jungkook said, careful not to mention anything that would stress her out.
