The next morning, Y/n awoke as the sun's rays gently touched her face, causing her eyes to flutter open. For a moment, she gazed at the ceiling, still groggy from sleep, before her senses jolted her awake, realizing she wasn't in her room. She sat up abruptly, a wave of shock washing over her, she couldn't comprehend that how was she in her room as she tried to piece together the events of the previous night.

It all came rushing back to her – how she had fallen asleep on the dining table, waiting for him to join her for dinner, only for him not to show up. She couldn't shake the nagging thought that perhaps Jungkook had brought her to her room.

"Did Jungkook...?" she began to think, but quickly dismissed the idea, shaking her head. "No...why would he do that?" she muttered to herself, trying to push aside her doubts. "I must be imagining things...but then who else could have done it?" Despite knowing it seemed implausible for anyone else to have carried her to his room, she couldn't shake the uncertainty that lingered in her mind.

"Maybe I sleepwalked here..." After wrestling with her thoughts, she resolved to confront him directly with her questions.

With that decision in mind, she rose from bed, quickly freshened up, and made her way downstairs to his room."Jungkook..." Y/n called out his name, but his room was empty. She searched every corner, but he was nowhere to be found.

"I guess he's left for the office early again, skipping breakfast," she sighed, disappointment evident on her face as she left his room.

Feeling anxious about him, she made her way to the kitchen, where her gaze fell upon the dinner table, where food had been set out along with a note. With curiosity, she approached and carefully unfolded the note.

"I've prepared breakfast for us, Y/n. I intended to wake you, but you were sleeping so deeply that I decided to let you rest. I've had mine and left yours for you. Don't worry about me. Just enjoy the breakfast and, please don't wait up for me at night. Have your dinner and get some rest, okay? The office is still quite busy, so I might be working late for a few days."

A wave of joy washed over Y/n as she read the note, a tender smile gracing her face. Knowing that Jungkook had not only eaten breakfast but had also taken the time to prepare it despite his hectic schedule warmed her heart.

After finishing her breakfast, Y/n made a decision to surprise Jungkook with a special plan to lift his spirits. Determined, she completed her remaining household chores and began preparing the surprise. She first went to cook food.

Starting with the desserts which was chocolate cookies, Y/n moved on to the main course, and then the side dishes. Once the food was ready, she arranged everything meticulously on the dining table and proceeded to decorate the room. In the center of the dining table, she placed a flower pot filled with his favorite flowers and arranged unlit candles around it, intending to light them up upon his arrival, creating a romantic ambiance akin to a candlelit dinner.

Although it took her several hours to set everything up perfectly, Y/n was filled with happiness and excitement at the thought of Jungkook's reaction when he returned from his hectic day at the office.

"I'm sure this will surely help him relax a little," she said, smiling contentedly as she gave everything a final touch-up before taking her seat and patiently awaiting his arrival. Time passed, and true to his word, he arrived late, well past midnight. Despite the late hour, Yn remained wide awake, her excitement and happiness undiminished.

Finally, the sound of him using his spare keys to open the door reached her ears, and she eagerly rushed towards the entrance. "Jungkook, you're back!" she exclaimed excitedly, causing him to flinch slightly.

"Whoa! You nearly scared me," he said, as he began to remove his shoes.

"Sorry," Y/n muttered, realizing how loud her voice had been.

"No need to apologize. Why are you still awake though? Didn't I tell you I'd be late? Just have your dinner and go to bed," he said, his tone serious.

But Y/n brushed off his seriousness and replied,"Actually, I've prepared something special for you," she said, capturing his attention, his expression filled with confusion.

Sensing his bewilderment, she wordlessly took his hand and led him into the house, saying, "Let me show you."

As they entered the house, his eyes widened in amazement at the beautiful decorations she had arranged. He couldn't believe the transformation of the familiar surroundings into a fairy-tale setting.

"How is it?" she asked, smiling, but he remained silent, his attention completely absorbed by the decor. His sudden lack of expression puzzled her, but she didn't dwell on it.

"Okay...I have something even more beautiful for you," she declared, grasping his hand once again and guiding him to the dining table. There, she released his hand and proceeded to light the candles with matchsticks. Approaching him, she noticed he was still frozen in place.

"How's everything, Jungkook. Did you liked them?" Y/n asked, her smile reflecting her eagerness to hear his thoughts. "I prepared this surprise for you to cheer you up from the stress you've been facing for so long. I couldn't bear to see you so exhausted, so I decided to do these things to help you relax a little."

However, he remained silent, and his lack of response began to unsettle her. She had anticipated his reaction to be different, filled with gratitude or at least some form of acknowledgment.

"What's wrong, Jungkook? You don't like it?" she finally asked, her confusion and hurt evident in her voice.

Jungkook took in everything around him with careful observation before bursting into laughter, leaving her feeling even more confused and hurt. "You did all this for me, Y/n?" he asked, his laughter still lingering.

"Of course, I did everything for you," she replied, her tone reflecting her confusion.

"Why?" he asked again, still chuckling, his question stinging her. Despite already explaining her reasons, he seemed to question her motives once more.

"Because I wanted to make you feel better, especially since you've been facing a lot of stress at work lately," Y/n explained, her voice tinged with sincerity. However, Jungkook's sarcastic laughter continued, leaving her increasingly puzzled and hurt. Despite her confusion, she chose not to question him further, feeling the sting of his unexpected reaction.

As she watched him approach the dining table, his hands casually tucked into his pants pockets, she couldn't fathom what he was planning or thinking. He stood before the meticulously arranged food and decor, his expression unreadable, leaving Y/n to wonder what he had in mind.

But, she stood frozen in shock when Jungkook suddenly grabbed the cloth covering the dining table and pulled it harshly. In an instant, everything crashed to the floor, crockeries breaking into pieces along with the flower pot she had placed at the center of the table. She flinched at the sound of  everything shattering.

The food she had lovingly prepared scattered across the floor, destroyed by his actions. Everything she prepared for him with so much love and hardwork, he ruined it in a single moment.
