LESSON 7:

DEMONSTRATE UNDERSTANDING OF THE 4M'S OF THE OPERATIONS

• Manpower
- the ideal number of people it will take to perform the method and what position should they be in.
- People make sure materials, machines, and methods are utilized in a productive manner to achieve goals or aims and objectives of organizations and enterprises.

• Materials
- Materials needed to perform all parts of production. Without materials, human resource is made redundant.

• Machine
- facilitate, environment, vehicles, and tools. Anything that makes people's work easier yet worthwhile.

• Method
- process to be done and who will be responsible for each step of the process.

Product Description
• a marketing copy what a product is and why it's worth purchasing. The purpose of the product description is supply customers with details around the features and benefits of the product.

1. Know who your Target Audience is
The first step to writing the product description is to define your target audience. You want to be able to define which features would be of most interest to your potential buyers.

2. Focus in the Product Benefits
As a business owner, you are understandably excited to share all of the qualities of your products. You want to show that your product has the best features and most unique specs.

3. Tell the Full Story
A good product description should give all relevant details, convince the buyers of its benefits, and pack an emotional punch.

4. Use Natural Language and Tone
If you read your description aloud, bringing the natural tone-one that you would use in real conversation will help your customer connect with your brand.

5. Use Power Words that Sell
There certain words and phrases that naturally elicit an emotional response in humans. By being mindful of these words and phrases, you can more easily convince your customers to take the leap and make the purchase.

6. Make it Easy to Scan
Make your product descriptions easy to scan by including bullet points, short paragraphs made up of just a few sentences each, lots of white space and different size fonts.

7. Optimize for Search Engines
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the easiest way to attract new customers to your page, which is very first step in convincing a person to buy your products.

8. Use Good Image
Quality photos will show the customer all of the key features about your product. They will also allow the customer to imagine having this product in life.

CREATE A PROTOTYPE OF YOUR PRODUCT

1. Take apart Competing Products
Get those products and dissemble them. If you're building a jetpack, unscrew a competing jetpack. Look at the materials used and how can you save time and improve upon your design.

2. Make a Sketch of your Product
This will give you a rough idea of how the first prototype will look and allow you catch flaws and ways to improve the design before you invest in building a prototype.

3. Obtain a Computer-Aided Design (CAD) of your Prototype
The computer design is much more detailed than your initial sketch. This is the design you will give to the prototype maker in order to get the most clear and detailed of your product.

4. Create a Handmade Version of your Design
The first example of your prototype may be made at home and can be made in miniature to save money. Having a sample design of your product makes it easier to explain to prototype designers and investors and will give you another chance to refine your design.
