I sat in the passenger seat tapping my fingers on my phone screen impatiently waiting to feel a vibration come from it. Trees and more trees just flying past as my father and I drove.
Thoughts began to flood my mind. Not just any thoughts. Thoughts about a certain person. Austin. I texted him about 20 minutes ago and I still haven't gotten a response. I wondered what he was thinking. What if he didn't remember me? What if he didn't want to remember me? What does he look like now? It's been so long! What if he completely changed? What if he's a jerk? What if he's a loser? What if-
My thoughts were abruptly interrupted when my iPhone buzzed twice in my lap. My heart skipped a beat. Sweat glands began to form on the palms of my hand. I took a deep breath and looked down at the screen. There, in white, was the name I was just having so many thoughts about. Austin Mahone.
"Who is it sweetie?" Asked my dad as he quickly glanced at me with a smile upon his face.
"Ummm... It's Austin." I replied.
I looked down and swiped the arrow to unlock my phone. I read the message over and over again.
"Brooke Mitchell? Woah! Brooke! Hey! How have you been! Wow I haven't spoken to you in like forever! I miss you and your beautiful smile! I can't believe your finally moving back! When you get to San Antonio call me and we'll meet up! We have so much to talk about! (: "
He missed me. Austin missed me. A slight smile curved on my lips. I couldn't see myself but I could feel my cheeks getting red.

After about 9 hours of driving my dad pulled up to a hotel where we would be spending the night. Driving the whole day would defiantly take a toll on my dad and I didn't want anything to happen to us. We checked in and brought down only an over night bag to take into the room. We made sure everything in the moving truck was locked so no one would be able to steal anything.
My dad slipped the card into the slot and when the tiny light turned green we stepped inside the hotel room. It was a miniature hotel room, just the right size for me and my dad. I exhaustedly flopped right on one of the twin beds. Since I'm 16 now, my father rents rooms with two beds since I find sleeping in the same bed with my dad awkward and uncomfortable.
A small buzz came from my back pocket that held my phone. I exhaled and slowly pulled out my phone; I was not in the mood to talk to anyone I was so tired. I fluttered my eyes opened as the bright screen came into view. I scanned my eyes over the message and smiled. It was Austin.
"Hey (;" just a simple text like that sent butterflies to my stomach.
"Hey! Shouldn't you be asleep? It's passed your bed time don't you think(;" I sent back.
"Haha you're funny! I miss that. And noooo! I don't sleep. I'm a vampire(;" he was so cute!
"Oh now whose being the funny one? (;" I replied back at him. We texted the whole night just catching up on the little things saving the big announcements for when I get into town. Oh how I missed him and his wise jokes. I miss his sparkling smile. I miss his twinkling hazel eyes every time the light touched them. I caught myself daydreaming about him and unlocked my phone.
"Goodnight Austin. Sleep tight(:" I sent. Few seconds later my phone buzzed.
"Goodnight beautiful. Sweet dreams <3" beautiful. He called me beautiful. My heart melted. And with that my eyes slowly began to shut until I fell into a deep sleep; dreaming about a boy I fell in love with 8 years ago.
