"Umm... Hi" I said bitting my lip and looking down at my feet because I knew I was blushing like an idiot.
"Hey gorgeous how are you? I've missed you" he said lifting my chin with his index finger.
"I'm good. I miss California, a lot but I'm happy to be back here" I replied.
"I'm happy your back too! Are you going to go to Lady Bird Johnson High School?" He questioned.
"Of course! I'm really nervous though.. I don't know anyone..."
"YEE! And don't be! You have me remember?" He stated.
He grabbed my hand pulled me into the mall with him. We walked around North Star going store to store. I had so much fun; he kept a smile on my face the entire time. We discussed everything that has happened in the time we were apart. It was nice just getting to talk to him like the old times; I miss that.
"Are you hungry?" Austin asked me about an hour after messing with the employees at Forever 21.
"Yea I kinda am." I answered honestly, my stomach rumbling under my voice. We went upstairs to the food court and Austin ordered some Chick-Fil-A for the two of us. As soon as we found a seat two young teenage girls walked up to our table.
"OMG. YOU'RE AUSTIN MAHONE. HI. CAN WE HAVE A PICTURE PLEASE?" The blonde girl around twelve years old asked with wide eyes like she's just seen a ghost or something. Austin agreed and stood up to take pictures with the two girls. I shot Austin a look, my eyebrow raised.
"What was that all about?" I asked clearly confused about why some random girls wanted a picture with Austin.
"Well you see.. I kinda put covers of hit songs up on YouTube and some people really like how I sing. I guess you could say I have fans now. I call them Mahomies." Austin answered my question as he took a bit of his chicken sandwich.
"Wow! That's so cool! Why didn't you tell me?" I asked.
"I don't know.. I didn't know if you would treat me the same way if I told you." He looked down at his sandwhich.
"Of course I would! You're still my best friend Austin! I wouldn't treat you any different. I'm happy for you! I hope you go far with this." I said giving him a smile.

After spending about four hours with Austin at the mall we decide it's time we head home so I could help my dad. We head to the parking lot and Austin opens the passenger door for me. I thank him as he closes it behind me. I give him directions to my new house that my father texted me. When we arrive in the driveway I am astonished by the beautiful house. I turn to Austin to thank him for the ride and the wonderful time.
"You're welcome Brooke! Anytime! We should hang out again soon!" I give him a hug engulfing his sweet cologne and exit his car.
I help my dad unpack until about 8pm when I go take a shower and get ready for tomorrow.

Next Day, Sunday First day of school tomorrow. Can you say ew? I really don't want to go but I know I will have Austin there with me. I am really nervous about how everyone will treat me. Will they like me? Will they loathe me? Will I be bullied? Thoughts filled my head as I laid down on my bed. I shut my eyes and tried my best to get some rest.
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! My annoying alarm clock rang. I flung my hand over the off button and swung my legs over the side of my bed. My cold hands rubbed my eyes as I fluttered them open to view a room full of boxes. A quick thought came to me reminding me I wasn't in California and it was time for school. I walked to my closet and picked out my outfit.
I went simple yet something that will draw everyone's attention. I chose a white tank top with a black blazer, black skinny jeans and gold wedges to match my necklace. I applied foundation, eyeliner, and a little bit of mascara to lengthen my lashes. I lightly curled my hair just to give it some effect. I grabbed my zebra backpack and headed downstairs. My father was waiting at the table reading the newspaper.
"Ready kiddo? You look very pretty" he said with a grand smile upon his face. We got into the car and drove away.

We pulled up to Lady Bird Johnson High School at 7:00 am. I had about 30 minutes to spare before I had to go to first period. Student began swarming the school doors coming from all directions. Some gathered around cars talking about who knows what catching up with one another. It was the middle of the school year so everyone will know I'm the new kid. I hated that fact.
I said goodbye to my dad, took a deep breath and climbed out of the car. Heads turned to look at who the new kid was. I ignored them and continued walking straight through the school doors to the main office.
An older lady with grey strands of hair handed me my schedule and a map of the school just incase I got lost. I thanked her and walked to find my locker.
I entered a hallway and began to read the numbers on the lockers. I was in the right hallway so I continued down the hallway constantly looking from my schedule to the lockers on my left side.
As I grew closer I heard someone giggling. I looked from the locker ahead of me to a couple with their arms around each other. The girl's back was against some lockers apparently laughing at something funny. The guy was holding her waist and smiling a charming smile at her. I squinted my eyes to get a better view of the couple. My heart dropped. It was Austin.
