I casually rolled my eyes, pushing my questioning thoughts to the back of my mind for later. I walked to the entrance of the grand building when Robert ran in front of me, opening the glass door for me to enter.
"Oh thank you." I say suprised of his actions.
"No problem." he responded with a friendly smile.
I walked past him in the lobby with my large duffle bag. I stopped mid-way to admire the spacious lobby of the condo building and it's beauty.
I glanced around realizing I didn't know where to go. I turned around to see Mama and the boys entering the building. Robert was already by my side from earlier.
"We're on the 6th floor." He said smiling.
"Oh right! Yeah." He clicked the up button for the elevator as the rest of the group joined us. "Hey where's Austin?"
"He's probably already in the condo. He's always eager to get home."
"Oh." I nod as the two silver doors of the elevator open. Alex and Zach rushed into the elevator followed by Michele, then Robert and I. We all managed to fit into the tiny compartment with all of our large baggages.
I tightly shut my eyes in fear of all possible disasters that could happen within these walls. We could plummet to the ground due to the amount of weight and pressure. All of a sudden Robert started to laugh.
"What?" I ask, a little annoyed.
"You!" he continues to laugh.
"What?!" I break my solid stare with laughs.
"Are you seriously scared of an elevator?" We both are laughing now, and so are the others.
"I am not! I mean.. well!" I can't think of an excuse for my fear. I playfully hit Robert on the shoulder and we laugh harder. A ding is made, announcing our level has arrived. The doors slide open, allowing us to exit the tight space.
I let Mama go ahead of me since she knows where she's going after all. On our way down the hallway, Alex asks me how my first flight experience was and I answered how terrified I was. After the boys teasing me about all possible fears I might have, we arrive.
Mama twists the door knob, swinging it open, exposing the wonderous condo. I slowly follow the crew into the room, starring in awe all over the room. The kitchen to my left was equipped with all the finest appliances with a large island in the middle. There was a spacious living room with long, white couches facing a flat screen tv. On my right was a black dinning room set with a silver chandelier hanging down above it.
Austin appeared, walking from the hallway by the dinning room.
"Hey! Where were you?" I walked towards him with my duffle bag still in hand.
"Just making sure your room was nice and tiddy. Here." He carefully took my bag from my hand and took my other hand in his.
"My room?" I question as he leads me to the back of the hallway.
"Yes, your room. Ready?" He asks, placing his hand on the knob.
I nod in excitement. He slowly opens the door to full potential and I am standing there in awe once again.
"Austin! Oh my gosh! It's so wonderful!" I run to the middle of the room and twirl, admiring all aspects of my new room. I have a king sized canopy bed with a a chest with cushions on top of it at it's end. There's also a wide, walk in closet to store all my clothes and shoes. But the best part of my new room would have to be my view. A slidding door with a balcony looking over the crisp, baby blue ocean.
