Sinagot ko ang tawag ni Nathan.
"What are you talking about, Celestine?" he said with a grim tone. Bigla akong natakot sa tono ng boses nya. He was terrifying!
"I am talking to you Celestine. Answer me. Is this a kind of prank? Well, it wasn't funny." sabi nya. Bakas sa boses niya ang pagkainis sa akin.
"I-I am not joking Nathan." sabi ko naman ay suminghot dahil hindi na ako makahinga ng ayos dahil sa baradong ilong.
"Sorry." pagpapatuloy ko pa.
"Hey, are you okay?" he suddenly asked but with a concerned voice.
"Ha? Oo naman. Bakit?" tanong ko sa kanya.
"Why are you sniffing? And why your voice sound like that?" he asked me.
I chuckled before answering. "Is sniffing bad? I have a cold."
"Cold? Why? Did you cry?" tanong nya sa akin.
I scoffed. "Bakit naman ako iiyak?"
"Celestine, kanina wala kang sipon pero ngayon meron na? Ayos ka naman kaninang recognition. I also asked Alexandra if you have a cold before they drop you and your sister off your house but she said no." he said back in a serious tone.
I got silent for seconds. I don't know what to say. Baka mabuking lang ako kung magsisinungaling pa ako. I shook my head, I have to take the risk. Baka maniwala pa si Nate... i mean Nathan.
"Is there a problem?" he asked me. I don't know why another set of tears streamed down my face. I can feel the sincerity in his voice. It made me feel comfortable, the way I felt when I was talking to the sky. Damn this feelings!
I sniffed again. "Wala... wala 'no. I am okay. Everything is okay. No worries Nathan."
I heard him sighed deeply. "I maybe can't see you but look at the sky tonight, moya lyubov. It's dark and no stars can be seen."
I looked in the night sky, he was right. Stars can't be seen tonight and the wind was so cold.
