As months went by, everything seemed so perfect and it scares me. Ano na naman kaya ang kapalit ng lahat ng kasiyahang nararamdaman ko ngayon? Sana hindi mabigat, sana lang talaga dahil napapagod na ako.
My internship at Mama's hospital was good and comfortable, especially Florence is at my side. Nag-aayos na kami ng kasal ni Nate, even the pamamanhikan was also done and we decided to have a traditional Filipino wedding.
"Lyubov, kakain ka ng lunch mo ha. I bought you a croissant in Dulce and I also put some here, kapag may time ka mag-break, you eat that too. Okay?" Nate said as he packed my lunch.
I sprayed perfume on my clothes as I watched him. "Opo." sabi ko na parang bata.
He looked at me and smirked as he sealed the water bottle. "Your water, dapat maubos mo and at least two times ang refill. Mahirap na kapag dehydrated ka." paalala niya ulit.
I smiled and walked beside him. "Opo." I chuckled.
Humarap siya sa akin at hinawakan ang mga kamay ko. "As you should, lyubov." he heaved a sigh. "Hindi pa din ako sanay na umaalis ka."
"Kawawa naman ang baby na yan. Promise, babawi ako. Bukas? Lunch tayo. Deal?" I asked, cupping his cheeks with my hands.
Hinawakan niya ang kamay ko na nasa pisngi niya at marahang inalis iyon at hinalikan. "Sure, lyubov. Anything for you."
He gave me a peck of kiss on my forehead. "Mag-iingat ka lagi, mahal. Padayon, Doktora ko." he whispered.
Hinatid niya ako sa hospital at kahit sa kotse ay panay ang paalala niya sa akin. I don't know why but this day is really different for me. Nate reminded me with things I must not forget to ensure my health, he reminded me with the hairties I should bring, he cooked lunch, he gave me my morning kiss, we had our quick morning cuddle that leads to the thing that couples do but it's normal for us, he put my hair into a bun. My guts are really telling me something that made me uneasy.
"Celestine! " Florence said as I walked toward her.
"Bakit?" I asked her worriedly when I saw her eyes full of tears forming. "Hala, don't cry... ano ba nangyari?" I said and hugged her.
"Hindi ko na kaya..." she said and hugged me back. "Y-yung bata na may ADHD," her voice cracked. "Tangina, binato ako ng baso. Babasagin pa naman muntik na akong tamaan sa ulo." pagsusumbong niya sakin na parang bata.
I hugged her tightly. "Nasaktan ka ba?" Ramdam ko ang pag-iling niya. "Konting pasensya pa, Flo. Bata yon eh...mas mahabang pasensya kailangan. Okay?" I said softly.
I felt her nod. "Tahan na... mapapagalitan tayo niyan." sabi ko kaya kunakas na siya sa yakap ko. I never mentioned to anyone that my biological mother owned this hospital only Nate and some close people like Gab.
"Salamat ha... dami ko nang utang sayo. Paano ko babayaran?" She asked, which made me chuckle.
"Wag na, just attend my wedding and I will be happy." I said and started to walk in the hallway but I suddenly bumped into someone.
"Oh gosh! I'm sorry... I'm sorry." I helped the person to get the things that dropped.
Nagulat ako ng i-angat ko ang ulo ay nakita ko si Dylan na nakatitig sa akin.
"Deia?" hindi makapaniwalang saad niya.
Sandaling walang boses na lumabas sa boses ko pero pilit akong ngumiti. "Dylan. I-ikaw pala. Been a while."
He smiled weakly. "Yeah, been a while since we last met." tanging nasabi niya sa akin.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean it really am–"
