Emilia's POV
It's Monday morning only just a few days after my and Elena's unauthorized dates. I couldn't wait to see Josh at school.
Us kids sat at the dining table while Abuelita served us breakfast while humming.
"Abuelita, how are you so happy in the morning?" Elena sled her.
"Oh, it's easy, Mamita. Every night I dream of your abuelo, and we are playing dominoes and I win. Over and over and..." Abuelita answers with a far off look on her face.
"Okay, I got it!" Elba stops her before it gets gross.
"Hey, guys, you're in luck. I finally found a vintage store that had a chair that matches your dining set." Schneider says as mom lets him in after his knock.
"Why do we need an extra chair?" Mom asks as he carries a chair in.
"It's not really extra. There's 6 of us." He says like it's obvious. However when he puts the chair down we see who is on his shirt and gasp.
"I know. It's not a perfect match. But it's hardly the sorest thumb in the room." Schneider says, thinking we're gasping at the chair.
"Not the chair! What the hell are you wearing?" Mom asked.
"Oh. Che Guevara? Yeah. Viva la revolución, am I right?" Schneider answers. Clearly oblivious as to what this man did during the Cuban revolution.
"You are wrong." Abuelita says sternly.
"Do you have any idea..." Alex starts.
"I got this. Do you have any idea..." I say cutting Alex off.
"Kids, relax. Do you have any idea what this comemierda did?" Mom shouts angrily.
"Grew an awesome beard and modeled for T-shirts?" Schneider asks dumbly.
"First of all, he wasn't even Cuban!" Mom answers.
"He was Castro's right-hand man." Abuelita finally answers.
"He burned books. He banned music. He personally oversaw execution squads. He was a mass murderer!" I explain further.
"But...He has a cool hat." Schneider tries to reason.
"It's like if you walked into a Jewish home wearing a Hitler shirt." Mom tries to explain how deep the meaning is. But Schneider still looks lost.
"Or into Taylor Swift's home wearing a Kanye shirt." Alex says which seems to make Schneider get it.
"Oh, my God! You guys. I am so sorry. I had no idea." Schneider exclaims as he immediately takes off the shirt and stomps on it in disapproval.
"Okay. We forgive you, Schneider. We know that sometimes you are a bobo and don't know what you're doing. It's okay." Abuelita says while hugging Schneider and rubbing on his chest creepily.
"Okay, now I kind of miss the shirt." Mom says.
"Okay kids let's get you to school!" Mom quickly ushers us out for the day.
I'm the first one out of the car as soon as we pull up to school. I don't even say bye to mom. My mind is only on one person right now
Seeing Josh in front of my locker I run up to him and throw my arms around him.
"Good morning to you too beautiful!" He says wrapping his arms around me and lifting me up off the ground.
"Awe look at them." I hear from in front of us. I see Lola, Terrance, Stefanie, Jack, Gwen, Scott, Elena and Daren looking at our interaction. And of course Lola was taking a photo.
