As the afternoon began to break over Gongmen City, the Furious Five and Po stirred awake on their small boat. The bustling cityscape was just becoming visible in the distance, and a sense of urgency filled the air. They disembarked from the boat, their movements quick and deliberate as they made their way through the labyrinth of alleyways and rooftops that led to their vantage point. Tigress took charge, leading them up to the rooftops where they could survey the city without being detected.

From their elevated position, the team observed the scene below with keen eyes. The streets of Gongmen City were heavily patrolled by wolves, their numbers bolstered since their last visit. Tigress assessed the situation with a critical gaze, her sharp eyes noting every detail. "They've clearly prepared for our arrival," she said, her voice low but firm. "There are double the usual guards on every street."

Po, who was struggling to focus as he adjusted his position, tried to contribute. "So, uh, we should... um, get some food?" he suggested hesitantly, his mind not fully engaged. The other members of the Furious Five exchanged exasperated glances.

"Po, come on," Tigress said, shaking her head. "Think. What's the best approach here?"

Crane, standing beside Tigress, nodded in agreement. "We need a solid plan to get through this."

As the team discussed their strategy, Mei Ling observed them from a higher rooftop. She watched their movements and listened to their plan, carefully noting every detail. Once she had the information she needed, she adjusted her mask to ensure she remained unseen and began her descent. Her movements were swift and deliberate as she made her way back towards the ancestral home.

Meanwhile, back at the ancestral home, Shen and Y/N were still in the dining hall. Y/N, now comforted and reassured, was resting in Shen's embrace. Shen's voice was gentle as he asked, "Do you feel any better after sharing what was on your mind?"

Y/N looked up at him with a smile, her eyes reflecting the warmth of his embrace. "I feel much, much better. Thank you, Shen. I just need to know... is it a promise that you will protect me tonight?"

Shen gazed into her eyes with a serious expression. "I promise you with all my heart that I will protect you, now and always. I will do everything in my power to keep you safe."

Moved by his words, Y/N made the same promise to Shen, her voice filled with conviction. "And I promise to protect you too, Shen. No matter what happens."

They sealed their promises with a tender kiss, their embrace deepening as they shared the moment. Content and reassured, they decided to prepare some food together. As Shen began cooking, the tranquility of the afternoon was abruptly broken by a loud knock on the front door.

Y/N stood up, ready to go and answer it. Shen, his focus momentarily shifting from the stove, called out sternly, "Wait a moment, Y/N." He walked over and gave her a quick but affectionate kiss on the cheek before letting her go. Y/N's cheeks flushed with a hint of pink, and Shen noted her reaction with a smirk, planning to tease her about it later.

With a smile on her face and her heart racing, Y/N hurried downstairs. She opened the front door to find Mei Ling standing there, her expression serious but relieved. "So, what's the news? Any further advances?" Y/N asked, her voice edged with worry.
