The morning sun streamed into the ancestral home, casting long shadows that seemed to stretch across the empty spaces where Shen's presence once filled. Y/N awoke with a start, her heart pounding as the remnants of a horrifying dream clung to her mind. In her dream, Shen had been struck down with brutal force, and despite her desperate attempts, no sound escaped her lips. She could only watch in helpless agony as he lay motionless, his face contorted in pain, and the overwhelming sense of loss suffocated her.

Tears had stained her pillow, and as Y/N forced herself out of bed, she was met with the harsh reality of her grief. The dream had been so vivid, so cruel in its accuracy, that the emotional weight of it pressed heavily on her chest. She stumbled into the bathroom, the hot water of the shower feeling both cleansing and painful, as it washed away the remnants of her dream and her tears. After the shower, she dressed quickly, feeling the numbness of her sorrow as she moved mechanically.

In the front grounds of the ancestral home, Y/N saw Shen's sword lying where it had been left. The sight of it brought fresh waves of sorrow, but she steeled herself. She picked up the sword, its weight a reminder of the strength and courage Shen had always embodied. She carried it inside and began her work, gathering wooden hooks and paper. With trembling hands, she carefully hung the sword, placing a piece of paper above it with a quote that Shen had once shared with her: "Don't push yourself too hard; do what you love."

The simple act of commemorating Shen with his sword was both a tribute and a painful reminder. Y/N's tears flowed freely again as she worked, her emotions raw and exposed. Mei Ling appeared by her side, her presence a small comfort amidst the chaos of Y/N's heartache. She wrapped Y/N in a warm hug and asked softly, "Is that for Shen?"

Y/N nodded, her voice breaking as she replied, "He would've loved to have hung up his sword one day. He talked to me about retiring, about settling down... I never imagined it would come to this."

Mei Ling held her tighter, offering silent support as Y/N continued to weep. After a long and emotional morning, Mei Ling and Y/N met up with Po and the rest of the Furious Five. They prepared to leave for the Jade Palace, and Y/N felt a pang of sadness as she waved goodbye to Mei Ling. Mei Ling tossed Y/N's staff to her, and Y/N clutched it tightly, her sadness palpable as she left behind the home that had been her refuge.

Days passed, and Y/N was welcomed into the Jade Palace by Master Shifu. His eyes were filled with compassion as he greeted her. "Y/N, I am devastated to hear about your loss," he said gently. "We are all here for you. Come inside and have some tea."

Y/N nodded, her heart heavy but grateful for the offer. She followed Master Shifu inside, seeking solace in the quiet embrace of the Jade Palace.

After a quiet and contemplative cup of tea with Master Shifu, Po gently guided Y/N outside into the open courtyard of the Jade Palace. The sun was bright, casting long shadows across the stone paths, but Y/N's heart was heavy, her mind still weighed down by the loss of Shen and the overwhelming grief that refused to let her rest.
