The front grounds of Shen's ancestral home were eerily still, the only sounds being the faint rustling of leaves in the wind and the distant murmur of wolves setting up their positions around Gongmen City. Shen and Y/N stood side by side, their chests rising and falling with the quiet, calculated breaths of warriors on the brink of battle. The air was thick with tension, but beneath it all was something more palpable—a shared connection, a bond that would hold them steady through the coming storm.

The sharp whistle of a wolf sliced through the air, a signal that reverberated through the stillness, making everything snap into focus. Y/N's heart lurched as reality hit her like a tidal wave. "Wait," she said suddenly, her voice soft but insistent. Before he could question her, Y/N stepped forward and kissed him, her hands gently cradling his face as their lips met.
