As Shen dropped his sword to the side, the metallic clang echoed through the night, sharp yet strangely hollow. His eyes softened as they locked onto Y/N, who stood in the aftermath of their betrayal. Her shoulders trembled, tears welling up and falling silently down her cheeks. Without another word, Shen strode toward her, arms open wide, welcoming her into his embrace. The world around them blurred, the chaos fading as Y/N rushed into him, burying her face into his chest.

Shen wrapped his wings around her, the softness of his feathers a stark contrast to the hard reality of the night. He stroked her hair gently, his voice low and soothing as he whispered to her. "Shh... it's all over now," he murmured, though the words felt heavy. He knew that despite everything, despite the victory, there was a shared weight between them. The betrayal, the loss, the confusion—it was all too much.

Y/N's tears soaked into his robes, her sobs muffled but heartbreaking as they clung to each other. Shen pressed his beak lightly against the top of her head, his feathers brushing against her hair in a gentle rhythm meant to calm her. He could feel her anguish, the ache of what had just transpired. He had done what was necessary—what he had always known had to be done—but Y/N... she wasn't built for this darkness. Not fully. And yet, here she was, bound to him by a shared mission, a shared life.

"It's okay," Shen whispered softly, shushing her as his grip tightened around her. "You did what you had to. We did what we had to."

Y/N trembled in his arms, the weight of her actions crashing over her like a tidal wave. She had taken down Po—someone she had once called a friend. Yet now, all she could feel was the searing pain of betrayal, both to him and to herself. Despite it all, there was a small flicker of relief—relief that Shen was here, with her, comforting her when she needed it most.

Shen gave a silent nod to Mei Ling, who, understanding without words, moved to help the wolves carry Po's limp body away. Her footsteps were silent, but the gravity of what was happening was not. Y/N watched through tear-stained eyes as they disappeared into the shadows, her heart heavy with the finality of it all.

She felt Shen's head rest gently against hers, his feathers once again caressing her hair in an unspoken comfort. Y/N closed her eyes, letting herself sink deeper into the embrace, trying to find solace in the connection they shared. Her heart ached with the loss of her friend, the weight of her choices pressing down on her. But here, in Shen's arms, there was still a strange sense of belonging. Life would go on, and for now, she would grieve—grieve for Po, for what she had lost, and for the person she used to be.

Shen's voice, quiet and tender, broke through her thoughts. "Come now," he murmured, pulling away just enough to look into her eyes. "Let's go inside. You need rest."

Y/N nodded wordlessly, her tear-streaked face a mix of sadness and exhaustion. Shen picked up his sword as they began to walk, his wing still resting on her back for support as they ascended the stairs together. Each step felt heavier than the last, the night growing darker as the weight of their actions settled in. Shen guided her gently, his presence grounding her even as her mind spiraled with guilt and sorrow.

As they reached their shared bedroom, Shen paused, glancing down at her with soft concern. "Would you like some tea?" he asked, his voice still carrying that calming gentleness.
