Brennan was the first to leave, and he didn't care if Jack had anything more to say; he just wanted to get far from there as fast as he could. "Matteo, I would suggest you speak with Brennan when you can. I know that you have always been able to make him mellow in the past, that's why I employed both of you in the first place. I knew you'd make a team." "You must forgive my friend sir. He's always been very sensitive." "Well, he needs to learn. No matter, head on home now. I'll see you both on Monday." "See you." Matteo handed in his hat and headed home. He had to feel for Brennan as he walked. And as luck would have it, he bumped into Brennan waiting at the bus stop half a mile away from the building site. "Brennan?!" Brennan just looked at him, he didn't say anything. "What's the matter? Has Jack angered you?" "You always read my mind." Brennan said, smiling. "Are you willing to tell me how you feel?" "Not right now, not in the mood." Brennan's bus pulled up at that moment, and he got aboard. Matteo only lived a little further down the road, so he didn't need to get aboard. When he arrived home, he took his work boots off by the door, and went straight upstairs to his room to get changed out of the rest of his work clothes. When Brennan arrived home, he just let himself drop on the couch, he wasn't in the mood to do anything or read something, instead he was just sitting there thinking about his day. As he stared blankly at nothing, some of things Jack had said to him made him wonder as to whether he was actually enjoying the job or not. As he was thinking about it, flying crossed his mind, and actually it didn't sound like such a bad idea at all. But first he had to take off his work clothes, so he took his work boots off by the door, and then went up to his room to undress from the rest. Soon, wearing only a towel around his waist to cover his embarrassment, he went out into the garden. He closed his eyes and began to concentrate. When he opened them, they were orange dragon eyes. Because Brennan wasn't wearing anything, he didn't have to worry about tight clothes ripping or restraining him. His skin dried out and turned golden yellow. Claws began to form on his hands and feet. But his hand were becoming feet as well, and as Brennan's knees clicked backwards, he was down on all fours. His towel fell off him as his tail and wings formed from his buttocks and spine. He grew much as the transformation sped up, and he lost his hair as his head contorted. A dragon muzzle pushed out, and horns formed on the top of his head where his hair was. His teeth sharpened as his jaw changed, and his back became spiky. All four legs elongated, and his body continued to grow until he was about two and a half times his normal size. continue the transformation

, his scales hardened and turned a deep shade of orange, almost red. His eyes now glowed with a fierce intensity, and his wings expanded to their full length, easily spanning the width of his garden. Brennan stretched his newly-formed wings, testing them to make sure they were strong enough to carry his massive weight. Satisfied with their strength, he launched himself into the air, beating his wings hard and soaring up into the sky. The rush of the wind against his scales was exhilarating, and he let out a loud roar of excitement. As he flew over the city, Brennan couldn't help but feel free and alive. It was a feeling he had never experienced before, and he reveled in it. He flew higher and higher, until the city was just a tiny speck below him. He soared over mountains and valleys, across oceans and forests, feeling the wind in his face and the sun on his back. Eventually, as the sun began to set, Brennan landed in a secluded clearing deep in the forest. He reverted back to his human form, his naked body covered in sweat from the exertion of the flight. He lay on the ground, staring up at the stars, feeling a sense of peace and fulfillment that he had never known before. As he lay there, he realized that flying was what he truly wanted to do. He had never felt so alive, so free, and so happy. He knew he had to pursue this dream, no matter what anyone else thought. And with that thought, he drifted off to sleep, dreaming of soaring through the skies as a magnificent dragon.
