S3 E16 drowning on dry land
DEREK SITS ON THE floor outside the trauma room, where Meredith was after getting kicked out. Mark slowly walks up and sits down by him, putting his hand on Derek's arm.
They both look defeated, when the door to the hallway opens and Liam walks in.
"William?" Mark looks up.
"Maddison's... missing..." He whispers, making the two attendings snap their heads to him.
"What..." Mark slowly stands up. "...did you just say?"
"She's-" Liam doesn't get to finish that, because Mark was already up and pinning him to the wall with his collar.
"Where that hell is she?!" Mark yells.
"I don't know!" Liam yells back.
"What the hell are both of you doing?!" Derek yells, pushing the two away.
"No!" Mark yells, going to grab at Liam again. "It's his fault! NOW, WHERE IS MY SISTER!"
"Blame isn't going to help Maddy right now!" Derek yells at them.
"I DON'T KNOW! YOU THINK I LIKE NOT KNOWING?!" Liam yells back, as Derek tries his hardest to keep the two apart. "I'VE BEEN RUNNING AROUND LOOKING AT ALL THE INJURED AND THE DEAD HOPING-" He lets out a sharp breath. "Hoping with everything she's not one of them!" Liam runs his hands through his hair. "She went on the ferry with my mother and... she's missing, and I know it's my fault..." Liam sighs. "She wasn't at the scene, I looked all over."
"Than it means she's at one of the other hospitals getting treated." Mark replies, with confidence, trying to make himself believe. Derek gives him a look, as Liam leans against the wall in defeat. "She's... She can't be-"
"She's not." Derek presses, looking between the both of them. "Look we need to call all the hospitals and give them her description and find out where she is."
"I already did that..." Liam tells them. "They all just said they don't have any information to give right now because of all the chaos."
The three go silent with defeat, and the door opens.
"What are you fools doing making all of this ruckus?!" Bailey scolds. "I'm trying to save my intern, your girlfriend and you three can't not make a mess?!" She looks at their faces. "What?!"
