S3 E19 my favorite mistake
"I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU'RE actually making a 10 year plan." Maddison tells Derek, as the two stand at in the conference room.
"What? William's just gonna rely on his charm?" Derek asks, sarcastically.
"He doesn't even want the job." Maddison replies. "He's just giving the interview because the Chief is making him."
"Burke is using PowerPoint." Mark tells them, walking in. "He's doing a PowerPoint presentation for the board, which is cool if it's like 1998. There's no swag is there? We're not allowed to give gifts?"
"Swag?" Maddison raises an eyebrow. "What are you? A pimp?"
"Hey I could be your next Chief of Surgery." Mark tells her. "You should treat me with respect."
"And I could be the next Marilyn Monroe." Maddison gives him a sarcastic smile.
"Why did you ask Meredith to do a bone graft... on your Jane Doe?" Derek cuts in.
"Because I'm her teacher and that's my job." Merk replies.
"You're doing it to impress the chief." Derek accuses. "You're setting her up. And she can't fail right now."
"Why don't you let your girlfriend decide what she can or can't do?" Mark challenges.
"I will hurt you..." Derek walks up to the other attending. "...if this goes wrong for her."
With that, the neurosurgeon walk out.
"What's his problem?" Mark asks, turning to Maddy.
"Maybe he just finds your presence displeasing." Maddison shrugs.
"What's your problem?" Mark asks. Maddison sighs, as she drops down on one of the chair around the conference table. "What? You need me to beat up William? Is that it?"
"Oh, please." Maddison scoffs. "I'd ask Derek if it comes to that. Don't you remember-"
"I let him punch me." Mark cuts her off. "You know... for..."
"Sleeping with his wife?" Maddison raises an eyebrow. "Good way to make amends."
"Whatever." Mark rolls his eyes. "Why do you look uglier than usually?"
