When Charlotte woke she was alone. The first thing she noticed was the pounding in her head, as her eyes struggled to adjust she tried to move.

Her arms were up in chains above her head and she was sat agains a wall on a stone floor. Once she could finally see she took in her surroundings. Trying to stay as calm as possible.

It was dark, almost pitch black apart from the light emitting from the bars in the door on the other side of the room. The door was metal and large. She shivered when she noticed the cold temperature.

She tried to move her legs and a wave of pain tore through her, a reminder of her bullet wound, she went to sob but froze in shock when it strangled in her throat. She moved her lips and her eyes widened in terror once she realised her mouth had been taped shut. Once the pain slightly subsided she tried to observe the room again.

There was nothing, no objects, no people and no sound.

She tried to inhale deeply through her nose, it was the only way she could level herself.

She was always strong, she vowed herself never to break, but for the first time in a while she had never felt genuine fear like this. She couldn't out pace her thoughts anymore.

All she could do was silently cry and hope someone would find her.

She shut her eyes and delved deep into her memories relieving the best ones in hope of finding some escape.

"You let her do what." Mia was too shocked to even process what Marjorie had just told her.

Everyone was gathered in the basement now.

Marjorie was beside herself, gnawing at her nails. Reece was beside her, albeit his mortifying concern he was rubbing gentle circles into her back.

"Listen we need to think rationally." Autumn stepped into the middle of them, "Charlotte's a smart girl, we mustn't jump to conclusions." She rushed her eyes darting between them.

"This is your fault!" Mia stepped forward and poked at Autumn, "If you hadn't of ran off and just faced your problems Charlotte wouldn't of needed to leave in the first place!" She shouted, she hated the anger that took over her, she felt guilty as she watched Autumn's eyes gloss over before her unscathed mask fell effortlessly back into place.

"That's enough!" Reece stated before stepping in front of his sister, "Mia you need to calm down or we're all going to die if we don't think of a rational plan!"

Mia scoffed in bewilderment. "Calm down?"

"Shut up. All of you." Rodger choked out from his chair.

They turned to face him, "If my men took her, she isn't alive anymore." He said, satisfaction rolled of his tongue.

They all froze.

"What do you mean 'your men.'" Reece asked faintly.

Rodger cocked his head, "Oh please, you really thought I was on my own?" He chuckled.

They were all trying to process the situation.

Rodger sighed sarcastically, "Oh well, I never really liked the girl anyway."
