Charlotte wasn't aware of how much time was passing, she was trapped somewhere dark and cold.

'Her cell.' As the group had called it.

There was no sound, no light, nothing.

She was able to move freely around the space and she was grateful for this, she had spent countless hours feeling the walls and floor, looking for anything that could of been loose, a secret nook perhaps, a loose stone.

But the cell was completely intact to her great disdain.

She was lying on the floor in a heap of soundless tears when the door swung open and the sound of boots hitting the floor echoed throughout the small space with unease.

Charlotte sat up in a panic, scurrying backwards until her back hit the wall with a sharp thump.

Marjorie was stalking towards her, gun in hand, she stopped at a distance and her lip quirked up into a sneer.

"Why all the tears?" Marjorie leered, cocking her head slightly.

Charlotte shook her head trying to find her voice, once she did it was wobbly and hurt, "How could you, how could you join Roger's army!"

Marjorie chuckled humourlessly, "You don't get it do you, that's a surprise, normally you're the insightful one."

Charlotte's eyes narrowed as she tried to make out Marjorie's face in the darkness.

"I was hoping they'd catch you the most, I want to make you suffer for Reece's death." Marjorie continued, she heard the sound of the gun being reloaded.

Charlotte's eyes widened in a panic as Marjorie stalked closer.

"He's alive!" Charlotte cried out.

Marjorie stiffened and Charlotte could feel the air suddenly thinning around them.

Marjorie bent down, Charlotte squinted and she could vaguely make out her face in the darkness.

Cruel and unfeeling.

"What did you just say." Marjorie hissed, her voice merely a faint whisper.

"Reece, he's alive, he didn't turn, he's waiting for you!" Charlotte rushed frantically.

Marjorie threw her gun and it clattered against the stone wall harshly, "You're lying!" Marjorie exclaimed, her rage palpable.

"I'm not! Marjorie I swear, I wouldn't lie! Not about this!"

Marjorie held Charlotte's face in a tight hold, almost as if she were trying to break it, she gasped in horror at the sudden sensation.

"I don't know what sick game you're trying to play Charlotte but it will not work on me!"

"Marjorie please." Charlotte begged her voice breaking.

Marjorie let go, shoving Charlotte's head back as she went, she paced the cell slightly in a menacing way, "I won't give you the satisfaction of death, oh no, death would be to easy on you, I would prefer to watch you go insane inside these four walls, nothing but your own grief to keep you company."

Charlotte raised a hand to her mouth as she bit back a choked sob.

Marjorie smiled down at her with pride, "I'll make sure to get front row tickets to your demise." Marjorie spat at Charlotte's feet before she began to walk away.

A past conversation suddenly hit Charlotte, a private conversation that had happened between her and Reece not that long ago.

"Impossibly in love with you!" Charlotte cried out through her panic.

Marjorie froze.

Charlotte's fists clenched at her side, "How would I know he said that to you? He told me, three weeks ago!" She struggled to continue, "He said I should tell you that, to make you believe me when I told him I would go looking for you!"

Marjorie turned slightly, a mixture of shock and horror on her face.

"Go! Go now Marjorie, get out of here while you still can!" Charlotte begged.

Marjorie was out the room in seconds, the metal door shut with a harsh sound and Charlotte inhaled deeply through her nose.
