Mia sat on the floor of the basement, all evidence of potential leads to Char sprawled out in front of her, as the minutes ticked by she grew more and more spiteful.

Rodger was watching her a smirk on his blooded and bruised face.

She admired a set of keys dangling in her fingers, it had been placed conveniently inside Rodger's backpack. Wedged right into a hidden pocket.

Upon his arrival she had searched him. Mia came to the frustrating realisation that the adrenaline of finding him had made her look over his little hiding places.

There was a map that had been stashed away under his shirt. She stared at it intently trying to put the pieces together. The harder she tried the more it didn't make sense to her.

She slapped her hands to her face in despair before Rodger started to laugh slightly.

"Having difficulty? And yet I thought you were smarter than that." He teased.

Mia turned to glare at him. "One more word and I'll remove your tongue." She spat not bothering to watch his reaction as she focused on the map once more.

She was fighting every single urge in her body that was telling her to leave solo. She would tear through every town, city, and building until she found her. She would not rest until she knew Charlotte was safe and by her side.

She was shaking so violently that she jumped when Autumn reached out her hand and placed it on her shoulder from behind.

Normally Mia would call out Autumn's odd behaviour with her unfamiliar touch but her mind was preoccupied.

She hadn't even noticed she entered the room at all.

They didn't share a word as Autumn sat next to her, both observing the map now.

"What am I missing!" Mia cried out clutching her fists.

Autumn pointed to where Mia had circled the station they had found her father.

"What's the circle for?" She asked intrigued.

"It's where we found him." Mia scoffed nodding her head towards Rodger.

"Yup." He agreed cheerily.

Autumn looked over to him and rolled her eyes,"Shut up before I take up Mia's offer." Although her tone was blunt there was a fine razor sharp hatred lingering in them.

Mia picked at her lips anxiously, "The only way I can see this playing out is we all split up in these directions." She moved her fingers and mimicked lines on the map that branched out in opposite directions from the station.

Autumn hummed in agreement, "They'll be back soon."

Charlotte woke with a migraine. She squinted her eyes as she tried to blink back the pain. The room was pitch black once more.

Alone.

She sighed in relief.

She tried to move her arms again but cringed at the sound of metal as it clang together. She bit back a cry.
