You want us all to be friends?
Third person pov:
Iris stands outside leaning against a wall as she starts smoking a cigarette, she had decided it was much needed after the argument, the woman keeps looking around from where she is keeping an extra eye on everything, keeping the gun she got that night close to her.
The girl sits down on the steps again and starts sharpening her knife she also took from the guy, and Carl comes and sits with her, Bear still inside like she had instructed "is your gun fully loaded?" The woman asks, the boy checked his gun, seeing it fully loaded.
"You know what to do when they come?" She asks, continuing to sharpen the knife, "fight" he says "no... you stay back and if anyone comes near you, shoot them in the head" Iris explains.
Carl leaves her and goes to unlock the gate for Glenn, and she continues to sort out the weapons. Iris looks over at Carol and Axel talking to each other a couple feet away from her, when suddenly a gunshot echoes through the prison and Axels body hits the floor Carol going down with.
"Carl! Beth! Get down!" Iris shouts holding onto her gun, she stays low and moves closer to the entrance, her eyes find a yellow truck, looking through her gun she sees the governor with his gun still raised.
More shots go off as Iris moves closer, the women starts shooting at the intruders killing some of them. Everyone starts shooting and after a few minutes it goes silent before starting up again.
The sound of another vehicle get closer to the prison before driving through the gates and stopping in the field, everybody watches waiting to see what's going to happen next when the back falls down and walkers start stumbling out.
Iris watches as someone runs out of the van, shooting them before they could get far, she starts shooting at the walkers when the governor drives away "no!" Iris shouts, grabbing the knife she starts running towards the gate, stabbing the walkers in the head when they get in her path.
She tries the run after them but Glenn manages to stop her "not now" he says, Iris looks back and sees the group fighting off the walkers. Raising her gun she starts letting off rounds, shooting the dead in the head. Glenn gets back into the truck and starts running over the walkers., and then helping Hershel get into the truck.
Everyone runs back up towards the building following the truck and shutting the gate behind us, "Carl" the woman says, grabbing onto the child and pulling him into her body not wanting to let go, "I'm okay" he says, his voice muffled by the woman's body.
Everyone but Rick gathers around the gate, watching the walkers stumble around the field. Iris runs back into the building checking on the baby and Bear, making sure no one had made their way through.
Daryl and his brother Merle had shown up just in time to help Rick, so everyone is now stood around planning what to do next. "We're not leaving" Rick says "we can't stay here" Hershel says "what if there's another snipper? A wood pallet won't stop those rounds" Maggie mentions "we can't even go outside" Beth says.
"Not in the daylight" "Rick says we're not running, we're not running" Glenn says, "nope, better to live like rats" Merle says from the next room, "you got a better idea?" Rick questions "yeah, we should have slid out here last night and lived to fight another day. But we lost that window, didn't we?" Merle says.
"I'm sure he's got scouts on every road out of this place by now." The man adds "we ain't scared of that prick." Daryl says "y'all should be. That truck through the fence thing, that's just him ringing the doorbell. We might have some thick walls to hide behind, but he's got the guns and the numbers. And if he takes the high ground around this place, shoot, he could just starve us out if he wanted to." Merle explains.
