Chapter 118.

That's not him.

Juniper squeezes her sisters hand as the cars speed around the corner, Iris turns from her sister and stars shooting through the small gap in the cars shield, Juniper follow Aaron and Eric out of the car, Iris shoots at the saviours a few more times before climbing out of the car, ducking down and stopping next to Juniper, shooting with her sister.

Iris drops down to the floor as Juniper covers her, Iris reaches into her back pocket and pulls out a full magazine, clicking it in and shooting at the saviours again. "Spread out! Watch for breaches! We keep 'em locked in, they got bigger problems than us." Iris shouts over the gunfire, the group listens, a few of them moving out. "We got some coming up on my right!" Scott shouts.

"Stay on them! Don't let them through!" Aaron says "We pin them in, it takes care of itself! That's the plan!" Iris adds, quickly glancing over at the man before continuing to shoot. "Tobin, move in!" Aaron orders, "I can take them! Cover me!" Eric says, Iris stays focused on trying to shoot the hiding saviours, "No! Wait for Tobin!" Aaron shouts "There's no time!" Eric argues.

"Tobin!" Aaron yells, Iris crouches behind the car and looks over to Tobin as he holds onto his shoulder "I'm okay! Just keep going! I'm okay!" Tobin yells, "stay down i'll come to you in a minute!" Iris yells to the man, he nods to her before she turns and starts shooting again. Iris watches as the dead start to rise, she lowers her gun and crouches down behind the car, Juniper crouches next to her, "you okay?" Iris asks, looking at her sister, "yeah, you?" Juniper asks "I'm glad your fighting with me" Iris says.

Juniper and Iris stay down as they run to the others, Iris watches as people start to drop to the ground, she starts shooting the saviours, dropping everytime the shots come her way, "juniper, get into the car" Iris orders, "no im not leaving you" Juniper says, "dont worry, it's only for a minute" Iris says, Juniper reluctantly turns and climbs into the car.

Iris lets out a long shaky breath, she looks around at the dead, she looks at Aaron as he holds Eric, Iris grips onto her gun and stands, she shoots at the saviours, her body aching and tired. Iris listens as the saviours stop shooting "Hold fire! Hold fire! Morales wants us back inside! All force towards the courtyard door on my mark!" "They stopped shooting." Tobin says, the saviours start shooting again but none of the bullets are towards them "No, they stopped shooting at us." Scott says, Iris stands and watches as the saviours retreat back inside the building.

Iris takes out her knife and starts driving her blade into the walkers heads, she stops when an arrow lands in the head in front of her, she looks up and sees Daryl, "you good?" he asks, rushing over to her, "i'm fine, you?" Iris aks, wrapping her arms around him "im fine" he says, hugging her back.

Iris pulls away when she hears yelling, she runs in the direction and finds Aaron, her heart breaks when she sees the man, walking towards the walker that was once his husband, "Aaron" Iris whispers grabbing onto him "he's dead. Erics dead" he cries, his body going week the only thing keeping him up is Iris's grip.

"come with me" she whispers "i cant... i cant just let him-" Aaron cries "thats not him... thats not him" Iris says, holding onto him and trying to move him away. "No. no. no" Aaron fights as Iris guides him away, "i'm so sorry" she says, Iris sits him down with the rest of the group, Iris sits next to him making sure he's not alone.

She looks up at Rick as he walks towards them, a baby in his arms, "She was inside?" Tobin asks "She was. I have a – I have a stop to make, and Daryl's got his bike. Maybe she can go back with you or Scott..." Rick says, iris watches Aaron stand up and walk towards Rick "She can go with me. I can, uh, t-take her to the Hilltop. She'll be safe there." Aaron says, "Aaron. You sure?" Rick asks, walking to the man "Eric and I were gonna go up... We were gonna go there after and update Maggie. So...that's what I'm gonna do." Aaron explains.

Iris stands up and walks over to them, she stands next to Daryl and looks down at the baby, "Please. I have to." Aaron cries "Her name's Gracie." Rick says, gently handing the baby to Aaron, Rick turns to Iris and Daryl and signals them to follow him "i'm gonna go to hilltop with Aaron, take Juniper there before i go back to Alexandria" Iris says.

"okay be safe" Rick says "i will" iris says, "See you back home." Daryl says to Iris and Rick, Iris walks over to him and gently kisses him on the cheek, "be careful" Iris says, Daryl nods to her nervously with Rick watching, the two watch as she walks back to the car. "You ready?" Iris questions her sister as she opens the car door "yeah" Juniper says climbing into the back, iris sits in the back next to her sister and Aaron starts driving to the Hilltop.
