Dear mom,

I remember what you always told me, 'thats life, you say hello, you walk alongside someone for a while, then you say goodbye'. I cant tell you how thankful i am that i got to walk alongside you and i'm sorry we have to say goodbye. You've taught me so much, how to hunt, how to track and skin animals. You taught me how to be brave and strong.

When my mom died i didnt know what to do, but you stepped up and guided me, you made me feel safe, you made me feel loved. My mom died knowing i had someone special like you, she knew you would step up and help raise me, that you would become my mom and that you would honour her.

Don't blame yourself for this. It had to happen, there was nothing you couldve done to change things. I want you to keep going, dont shut everyone out, and dont become angry. I was angry, i wanted Negan dead, I wanted to kill him. I think that if i killed him when i had the chance this would all be over. Maybe it would all be done. The people there are just normal people like us. They're just regular people, old people, young people, families. You cant let them die, you have to help them.

I know you can do it. I know you can help, you can help my dad see that it can work. You can show him that people can grow and change, because you have grown and changed. You used to be afraid to let people in and now you're starting to. Your starting to let people help you, dont let my death change this.

I had a dream that alexandria had grown, Judith was bigger and acting just like i did when i was her age, in my dream you lived in the house next door with Daryl and Juniper, you had a new dog and you finally let yourself be happy. You let yourself love again. And you let yourself be loved again. You deserve a happy ending. I want you to teach Judith everything you taught me, keep her safe for me.

Thank you for being my mom. I know you will be an incredible mom to your own child one day.
