At the end of the night, I walk into Loki's tent and he smiles at me "Hey."
I smile at him and ask "How were the interviews?"
He sighs as he leans back "Not very interesting. Made Dashson cry, but I think he's just a pansy."
I scoff, before declaring "Fandral isn't the bravest." I take in a deep breath, before declaring "He's decent at negotiation, though."
He scoffs "He'll definitely be one to watch. Nobody that cowardice can be that charming." He continues typing on his laptop as he sighs "Svelson only seems interested in food at this point."
I take a seat and sigh "Volstagg is a great guy, in my opinion. He's honestly pretty good at hand to hand. He's fantastic as a sniper."
He takes in a deep breath "Yeah, he was more open than most. He seems like a good guy who does everything for everyone, but doesn't do well for himself. He'll sadly be one to watch for PTSD."
I give a short nod, before asking "Anything I can do for him?"
He stops typing and gives me a proud smile "Treat him like the rest of your subordinates, but maybe make him feel supported. Like a back bone, something to lean onto."
I give a short nod, before changing the subject "What about Hogan?"
He turns back to his laptop and states "Grim is ultimately indifferent, at this point. He mainly just misses his family."
I give a short nod, before asking "And Sif?"
He sighs as he types "Asynjur just isn't phased. She's outspoken, and determined to show she's the best. She is the only woman in her platoon, so, grain of salt. I know she's faster, and stronger, than the guys."
I take in a deep breath, before declaring "She's been the best in all of her practices, too. Hand to hand, negotiation, and sniper.
He takes a moment to complete stop, before giving a singular nod and continuing with typing. He takes in a deep breath, before clearing his throat and asking "Quill?"
I take in a deep breath "Peter is good at being an armed marine, and that's about it. He's good in a crisis, though, even if he's a clown. Only reason he joined is because he was facing theft charges."
He scoffs, before asking "Dessi?"
I furrow my brow and declare "Drax is insanely scary at hand to hand combat. He was actually in prison, for killing the guy who killed his family. He fought like hell to get here. Metaphorical thick as a phone book. Does not understand sarcasm or symbolism in the least bit."
He scoffs, before declaring "I noticed that." He clears his throat "What about Tree?"
I scoff "Groot is insane when it comes to hand to hand. Honestly, that little shy twig is so much stronger than you would think. He may be quiet, shy, and sweet, but he can become very lethal if he needs to be. Other than that, he reads comic books, and acts nerdy."
He smirks "He's a cute kid."
I give a short nod "Eighteen. Enlisted straight out of high school."
He shakes his head, before declaring "If I ever have a kid, they will never know this life."
I give a short nod, before asking "You want kids?"
He stops typing, before a slight blush hits his cheeks "I'm gay, and I was an orphan. I'd like to imagine a life with a couple of adopted kids."
I give a soft smile, before declaring "I imagined something like that, too."
He clears his throat, before asking me "Are you gay?"
