When I get out of the shower, I walk out to find Loki stripping the protective blanket off the bed. He limps around the bed and smiles at me "How are you feeling, dear?"
I take a deep breath and declare "I really want to take a nap."
He chuckles his phone and declares "It's only two. We can probably squeeze one in."
I yawn as he rubs my chest "Only a couple of hours. Nothing more."
He nods, before grabbing the blanket and deciding "I'm going to go toss this in the washer. Why don't you lay down and relax?"
I nod and crawl into bed, but then I realize, it's Friday. I reach out for my phone and dial the number.
Within five seconds, I hear "Harrisonburg Psychiatric Clinic, how may I assist you, today?"
I take a deep breath and declare "I'm a patient of Doctor Banner's. I used to come in on Mondays and Thursdays, but I've been out of town. I'm trying to see if he's available for Monday."
She replies "Let me open his appointment schedule, give me just one moment." She clicks her tongue in disapproval "Unfortunately, he's completely booked for Monday, but I have Tuesday at one."
I take a deep breath, before declaring "That works."
She agrees, before asking "Can I just have your name for the appointment book?"
I nod to myself before declaring "My name is Thor Odinson."
She pauses, immediately "Mister Odinson. I should have known. He can actually fit you in on Monday at one. He's had his noon to two slot available on Mondays and Thursdays, just in case you called to schedule an appointment."
I can't help but laugh to myself, before she declares "He will be so happy you called. I have a sticky note on my computer insisting that you're his most important patient."
I sigh "I don't know if that's a good thing."
She chuckles "Well, he's just a strange man. There's sticky notes everywhere. Does Monday, at noon work for you?"
I hum "That works."
She calls out "Yes, doctor!" Before returning to me "Great, I have you penciled in. Please hold."
In an instant, I hear Banner speaking "Hey, Thor. Just heard you speaking with my receptionist, wanted to ask you if you're back home."
I smirk as Loki walks in with a confused look "Yeah, we got home, last night. Just figured I should call and make an appointment."
Banner asks "Will Loki be joining us, then?"
Loki crawls in bed next to me as I ask "Want to come with me to therapy on Monday?"
He gives me a confident smile "I get to meet your guy?"
I nod and he nods back, before I tell Banner "He's in."
Banner erupts "Fantastic! I'll see you Monday, then!"
I smile "See you Monday."
He declares "Goodbye, Thor."
I hum "Bye." Before hanging up.
Loki smiles at me "I finally get to meet the guy Natasha might be boning!"
I give him an annoyed look "That's my therapist."
~
We ended up crawling in next to each other. When I wake, the entire house is dark.
Honestly, the only thing that tells me I'm home is Loki's head on my chest. His bad knee lays over my legs as he squeezes me.
I groan and reach over to turn on the lamp.
