**Tae's POV:**
Being a debt collector in the ruthless world of the mafia had its perks and drawbacks. I'd seen countless people grovel and beg for more time, for another chance. Usually, I didn't care. Business was business, and debts needed to be paid. But everything changed the day I met Jungkook.
I had received a call about an overdue payment. Jungkook, a university student who had taken a loan from us to pay his tuition, was the debtor. When I arrived at the address, I instructed the guards to bring him to me. They dragged him out, and my heart skipped a beat the moment I saw him.Jungkook was pleading with the guards, his eyes wide with fear. "Please, just give me more time. I will pay the money back, I promise. I just need a little more time."
I don't know what came over me, but I found myself wanting to give him that time. Something about the way he looked at me, so vulnerable and desperate, stirred something deep inside me. Against my usual judgment, I told him he could have more time and left, feeling a strange connection to him that I couldn't explain.
Days turned into weeks, and Jungkook worked tirelessly to gather the money, but the amount was substantial, and progress was slow. I kept tabs on him, watching from the shadows as he struggled but never gave up. I admired his determination and resilience.
One evening, an idea came to me. I proposed a deal: Jungkook would work at my home as my personal maid, and in return, his debt would be considered paid off. It was a one-year contract, and he reluctantly agreed, desperate to be free of his financial burden.
