"mom, dad, that's jungsu, my boyfriend. yes, i'm gay.."

seungmin told them quick, without any other information. at first, the two looked at jungsu, scanning the goth.

before his mother started laughing. "hah!" she turned to her husband. "you owe me $10!"

seungmin and jungsu exchanged confused looks, watching the latter's parents joke and laugh around.

"what...?" he muttered, utterly confused. so his father explained. "did you think we don't know?"

mrs oh snorted. "oh, please, you didn't know. seungmin, honey, we knew ever since you started ballet."

jungsu cracked up. "you do ballet?" seungmin swore he was never that embarrassed in his life before.

"i stopped when i entered high school- mom!" the woman laughed, enjoying the fact that she embarrassed her son in front of his boyfriend.

"what? he was gonna find out anyway some time. you wanna see some videos?"

seungmin shook his head, ready to deny it and push jungsu towards his room but his mother already dashed away to get her video recorder.

jungsu was clearly amused. "you never told me you did ballet" he chuckled. "that explains your muscular thighs, though."

the woman returned with the video recorder. "oh, i bought this one just to record seungmin's performances. he was so good."

she clicked on a video, the classical music sounding through it. seungmin was a pre-teen there, having his solo on the stage.

and he really was amazing, jungsu wondered why seungmin stopped. once the video was over, he looked at seungmin.

"okay, babe, did you know you were gay there? because you look queer there" seungmin laughed, overwhelmed as he scratched his head.

yet before he could answer, his mother talked to jungsu again. "oh, but you look so amazing, too. i've never seen a gothic person in real life."

jungsu smiled, bowing politely. "thank you, mrs oh-" "it's seongja for you."

seungmin was glad jungsu and his mother got along well. his father seemed to have gone away again, but seungmin knew he didn't have any problem. otherwise he'd voice it out.

he probably went to their balcony to smoke, hence the sudden tobacco smell. seungmin felt his heart ache.

and he suddenly craved to smoke again. after he thought he finally got over it.

tensing up, he just grabbed jungsu's hand, smiling lightly. "we'll be in my room" he announced awkwardly as he dragged jungsu with him.

in his room, both of them instinctively walked over to seungmin's bed, lying down on it as they started cuddling.

"why did you stop with ballet?" jungsu asked after the few moments of silence. and seungmin sighed.

he was actually a little bit pissed his mother told jungsu. not like he could change it now, anyway.

"i was bullied because of it in middle school.." he admitted, rather quiet. "i was six when i started. no one cared in primary school, i was so proud of me.

so i told everyone that i'll have my first performance soon. then it started. they called me gay, using it like an insult.

and one day i realised that i really am gay. but they used it in such a derogatory context so i was thinking: okay, it's something bad.

so i quit once i entered high school. and that's also why i'm so hesitant with showing my sexuality, you know?"

jungsu showed him an encouraging smile. "hey, babe, it's okay. thank you for telling me. i understand why you stopped but it's so sad to hear that.

were you scared that i was gonna judge you too when your mom revealed that?"

seungmin nodded, burying his face in jungsu's chest. the latter sighed. "don't worry, it's okay. you must've been scared, because you don't know it any different.

i think it's cool. unique. you danced so gracefully, it was pleasant for the eye to watch you.

you enjoyed ballet, didn't you?"

seungmin nodded again, still staying silent. and jungsu smiled, leaning his head down to kiss the younger's head.

"what if you try it out again?" seungmin looked up, stunned. "no- no, i can't, they'll rip me apart."

jungsu chuckled. "if you're worried about being judged because you're gay then you're worried for nothing because we're literally out already.

besides, i'll punch a bitch in the face if i have to."

it made seungmin laugh, jungsu chuckled a little, too. "so think about it. if you enjoy doing ballet then go for it."
