Never make a person your
comfort place.
You would not realize
when this comfort
Becomes a haunted house,
shadows lurking,
Walls that once whispered
peace now echo fear.

The warmth you once
sought turns to chilling cold,
And the refuge you found
becomes your trap.
Memories hang like cobwebs,
clinging tight,
Whispering doubts where
there once was solace.

Doors you thought open
slam shut with a thud,
And windows that showed
light are now opaque.
The heart that once was
home now feels foreign,

A maze of corridors
leading nowhere
Beware of building homes
in fragile hearts,
For comfort's ghost can
swiftly change its face.
