As one of Alana's ways of making money is by delivering groceries to people, which is what she was currently doing. She walked to the nearby apartments and knocked on the door but turned to look at a boy around her age along with a blond haired man that almost everyone knew.
As soon as she got her money she put the money in her pocket when she heard, "the only good thing here is that I don't have to talk to anybody, so nice knowing you." The man told, which made Alana roll her eyes. "Okay, well, have a nice day. I guess." The boy said in a quiet voice.
Alana sighed before looking to the side. "hey, dude!" she raised her voice a bit, which made the boy turn to her and freeze when he sees the beautiful girl, he stumbled a bit as he walked over to her. "don't take what he says to heart, okay? That's Johnny Lawrence, he's like the grinch but worse" Alana said to the boy, making him laugh.
"I'm Alana Chambers." she smiled and stuck her hand out, "Miguel Diaz, my family and I just moved here, 109. Uhm, do you live here too?" He asked while they shook hands. "Oh! uhm, no actually, I live nearby at the Reseda Trailer Park." She said, glancing at the ground, feeling a little embarrassed.
Miguel on the other hand, smiled wider than before. "No way! That's sweet!" Alana chuckled, "really?" she's never gotten that reaction before. "Yeah. I definitely need to see." Miguel told her as they both shared a laugh.
"ok then, weird way to impress a boy." She said as they just stared at each other with adoring eyes. "Miguel!" A women's voice shouted, the two teens turned to see Miguel's mom waving over at him, "Please come help. Now!" "Coming!" he turned to Alana and smiled again, this time showing off his braces.
"I should get going now" She nodded, "yeah, me too." they smiled at each other once again "i'll see you later, Mig. Bye." and with that she walked off, Miguel muttered a bye as he watched her leave, before going to his apartment, A smile never leaving his face.

Later on that day, Alana went to the Reseda strip mall to buy something to snack on. Because of her indecisiveness, she stood where the chips were and had a debate in her head on which ones to get.
That's when she heard "Lani!" She turned to see Miguel standing next to her with Pepto-Bismol in his hand. "Miguel, hey. uh 'Lani'" she laughed, "you don't mind do you? Just a nickname i thought i'd give you," he said making her laugh, "It's ok mig."
They walked over to the register after she picked what to get and then they stood next to Johnny Lawrence "my grandma isn't feeling well" Miguel told the man awkwardly, "i didn't ask." he replied back before turning to the man behind the counter. "C'mon what's Spanish for 'just give me my damn slice'"
The man behind the counter rolled his eyes before, looking at both Miguel and Alana. The man soon said something in Spanish causing Miguel to grin. Johnny glanced at the girl who just shrugged, not knowing that much Spanish anyways. Johnny turned to Miguel and asked "What did he say?" "You don't wanna know" he told, trying to hide his smirk.
Alana now getting curious nudged Miguel and raised her eyebrows at him, he shook his head with a smile on his face, and before he could say something to her, Johnny cut him off and said "i know it's something bad. Just tell me." Miguel sighed "Uh, he said you have a tiny..."
johnny glanced at what miguel was indicating, alana immediately understood and gasped, putting her hand on her mouth, trying to contain her laughter. "He said i have a tiny wang. Tell him he has a tiny wang." Johnny said, glaring at the man "I speak spanish asshole." "oh really?" Johnny said before snatching the pizza and throwing his money.
alana and Miguel glanced at each other as they smile holding in laughter. The bell rang as the two looked over to see a group of boys. Alana immediately looked down, hoping they didn't notice her. Miguel then whispered to her, "They look like they're in high school"
the worker heard them and called out the group to put the beer down. "what the hell are you doing!" a tall boy named kyler yelled as he shoved miguel backwards, pushing him outside the door, "Dude I-" Miguel was cut off, "He thought we were in college." kyler shouted, "I didn't know you were trying to buy beer." Miguel quickly said. only to be pushed sending him to the ground.
Alana immediately shouted, "Hey! leave him alone!" getting the group's attention. "well, well well. look who we have here, boys.." kyler said as he smirk and looked down at her, "Cherry? That you? where is the rest of your geek squad, milkshake?" Kyler taunted as he pushed her.
"just leave him alone kyler." Alana said, trying to seem confident but the group of guys laughed as Kyler pushed her into Miguel. He immediately put his hands on her waist, trying to drag her away before Kyler stopped them and poured the Pepto all over the two and threw the bottle at the girl.
"Asshole." Miguel muttered, but soon got punched in the stomach by Kyler, who then pushed Alana to the ground and kicked her stomach, making her groan in pain. before Miguel could get to her, Kyler grabbed onto him and pushed him into a car. Johnny, who had watched the entire time reacted and yelled at the guys, "Hey! Watch the car man and you don't hit girls."
"who's this dude?" one of the boys said, "just leave the dorks alone" Johnny told, making Kyler scoff, "what." then turned to his friends "you see this guy eating his dinner at a minimart like a bum." a chubby boy said. "wait, I think I know this guy. he's the jerk that cleaned my dad's septic tank." kyler says, "that explains why he smells like shit"
The group laughed again as Miguel picks Alana up and walks to the side, his hands not leaving her waist. "trust me, you are pissing off the wrong guy on the wrong day." Johnny stated walking closer to the group of teens. "Really? get out of here loser!" kyler sassed back, shoving Johnny, making him even more mad.
Johnny immediately roadhouse kicked him in the face, but soon grab his thigh in pain. As Johnny was fighting the group of teenage boys both teenagers were watching them. A police car pulled up and ran to Johnny pepper sprayed him and dragging him into the car.
"Hey! it's not his fault!" both Alana and Miguel yelled, but we're sadly ignored. The girl looked at the groaning boys and sighed, "shit" she muttered, Miguel turned to her, and she glanced at him.
"I just asked for a Death wish"
