Alana woke up to the smell of Bacon cooking. Alana sat up in confusion, who was cooking? She pulled off her blanket revealing her black baby tee and her plaid pj shorts.
When Alana left her room and entered the kitchen her eyes widened when she saw her dad standing there cooking breakfast. "Dad?" She said making the man turn. Ross Chambers turned and smiled at his daughter.
"Good morning munchkin. Thought i'd attempt to make you breakfast like old times. I checked your calendar on the fridge, karate practice in an hour. Maybe we can eat together and talk, i know that this is last minute, and.. I know it's gonna be hard to forget about what I did and forgive me but.... maybe, just maybe you can give me a chance?" Ross said as he looked at his daughter with hope in his eyes.
Alana felt her mouth dry. She didn't know what to say. The moment she's been waiting for is finally happening. The last time he cooked breakfast for her was when she was a kid. She felt her eyes water a bit. A small smile appeared on her face as she nodded. Ross smiled brightly and pulled his daughter into a hug. Alana's body freezes. She never realized that she missed her dad's hug. Tears poured out from both their eyes.
"i'm so sorry i was a screw up." Ross said as they pulled away. Alana smiled at him, "it's ok." she says before they sat down at the table and talked about everything.

After Alana and her dad ate he let her change into her training clothes as he cleaned the whole kitchen. She said her goodbyes and got in her Jeep. She smiled to herself until her phone rang.
Alana looked at her phone screen to see Miguel trying to FaceTime call. She answered and didn't get the chance to talk when Miguel cut off. "Sensei's sleeping with my mom!" He shouted. Alana choked on her own spit, "Excuse me?" she said. Her eyes widened. She remembered the dinner at Johnnys. The look she saw on Carmen's face. "I'll tell you about it at the dojo." Miguel said, Alana sighed, "ok." she smiled at the boy before he hung up, leaving the girl shocked with the information she learned.
She started the car and drove to the warehouse where Johnny had them training at.

Alana, Miguel, and the rest of the team were talking when Johnny walked up to them. All of a sudden the doors opened and everyone turned to see Devon Lee walking inside the building.
"Listen up, nerds. Today's gonna be a world of pain. Now everyone fall in." Johnny said as the team lines up. "We have a new member joining us today." He said. Devon stood next to him, she looked at alana, sending her a smile. Alana smiled back.
"This is Devon Lee, one of our female champions." Johnny said, "Hi. my pronouns are she/her." Devon said, "The only pronouns we accept in this dojo are sensei and student." Johnny said making Alana and Miguel glance at each other. "Those are nouns." Devon said. "Oh, i'm sorry. I think what i meant to say is 'Quiet!'" Johnny shouted at the girl before he told her to get in line.
