"Turning Page by Sleeping At Last"
Prom is an important rite of passage, as many say. Prom was something Alana had been dreaming about since she was a child. Dancing in the night in a beautiful dress with a nice date. Dancing with all her friends to all her favorite songs.
When Miguel asked Alana she had only felt butterflies. She felt like a princess living her dreams.
The Diaz family, Alana, Hawk, and Johnny were at the LaRusso house as the teens got ready for the prom. Alana's dad was working late so he couldn't join them, but Alana promised to take pictures for him.
While Miguel gotten changed prior, Alana and Sam wanted to get ready together. Alana did hers and Sam's hair. Which left Sam to do hers and Alana's makeup.
Alana's dress was a long silk white spaghetti strapped dress that had a slit on the right thigh. She paired the dress with some white chunky platform heels. Her hair was half up half down and she had light make up on. After she applied some light pink lip gloss she smiled at herself in the mirror.
Sam walked into the room, "hey, you ready?" she asked with a bright smile. Sam originally was fine with third wheeling the couple but Alana didn't want that. She loved Sam, so she asked Hawk if he could give Sam company. Hawk immediately said yes and when Alana told Sam what she did, the girl pulled her into a hug. Sam and Hawk didn't have dates so they decided to go as friends. Just so they can have each other's company. Besides Hawk still liked Moon so Sam agreed to help him out.
Alana smiled and nodded, "yeah." she said as Sam smiled and walked out the room.
Downstairs is where everyone was standing, Sam smiled at the two guys before standing next to them. When the group heard footsteps they all smiled. There they saw her. "Here she comes." Amanda said as they watched the girl walk down the stairs. The friends all looked at each other and smiled.
As soon as she looked at her friends she immediately blushed. Sam and Hawk smiled at her softly. As for Miguel, he was frozen. His eyes softened at the sight. His smile got bigger by the minute.
Alana did a little spin before facing her boyfriend. "Woah. You look beautiful." Miguel said as he grabbed her hands. "thanks. you look beautiful too." Alana smiled making Miguel chuckle at her words. "Got this for you." He said as he held up a white and red flower corsage. He gently put it on her and then kissed her forehead.
"Alright let's get some pictures. Alana and Hawk you first." Vanessa said. Since Alana and Hawk didn't bring their family to the LaRusso's house they decided to take pictures together instead. The two stood together with big smiles. After they took a picture together Vanessa turned, "Diaz family." She said.
Alana and Hawk were walking to the side. Johnny stood next to the teenage girl, "You look great." He said making the girl smile, "Thanks" She said. All of a sudden Carmen turned to the two. "Johnny, Alana. Come on." Carmen said. Johnny and Alana walked over to the family, Miguel smiling at both of them. Alana and Miguel put their arms around their waists as Johnny put his arm around Alana's shoulder.
