Johnny walked into the dojo and Miguel and Alana immediately go up to him
"Hey, sensei, we're sorry about your loss," Miguel stated. "Thanks," Johnny replied, clearing his throat. "So, how was the funeral?" Alana asked softly. "As good as any funeral can be." He replied. "So, how'd it go around here while I was gone?"
"Great. I mean Sensei Kreese is tough, but he knows what it takes to win." Miguel replied. Johnny glanced at Alana who rolled her eyes and looked at the floor
"Alright everyone get your gis on, Training starts in five minutes," Johnny instructed, walking out of his office with Kreese behind him. "What's wrong?" Johnny asked. "No-no-nothing's wong. I just thought we were going to the woods for a special training today." Miguel replied. "What's happening in the woods?" He asked. "Well, I thought it was a good time to separate the men from the boys," Kreese stated.
Aisha, Tory, and Alana glared at the man. "And the girls too, I suppose." He added.
"What?" Johnny questioned, turning to look at Kreese. "Coyote Creek." He responded. Johnny sighed and closed his eyes in anger before opening them again. "I'm not sure they're ready for that." He muttered to Kreese. Kreese scoffed. "There's only one way to find out."
"We're ready Sensei. We wanna prove ourselves." Hawk stated proudly. "It's up to Sensei Lawrence. If he says it's ok, then, and only then, is it ok." Kreese declared.
Johnny sighed. "All right, what are you waiting for? Let's go."

Soon all the kids had arrived and they were divided into two different teams, red and black. Alana was on the black team with Miguel and Tory. "Gentlemen, ladies. Welcome to Coyote Creek. You've been split into two teams. Red and black. The goal is to capture as many headbands as possible from the other side." Kreese explained. "Today the people across from you are not your friends. They're not your brothers. They are the enemy. The last team standing wins."
"How do we get the headbands?" Miguel asked. "By any means possible. No rules." Kreese replied with a grin. "Use your judgment. This is just a training exercise." Johnny added. "Correct, but remember, this is your life. You lose it...you die." Kreese stated holding up a headband.
Alana, Miguel, and Tory stayed together. "What happens at the end of this if it's just down to us three?" Miguel asked "Then I guess I'll have to rip that pretty little headband off your head." Tory teased, making Alana roll her eyes. "This headband is staying right where it is." Miguel retorted.
A boy wearing a red headband came into view. The boy sighed, Tory kicked him in the stomach before shoving him towards Miguel. "He's all yours." She said. The boy threw his leg up to kick Miguel but Miguel caught his leg. "ladies first," Miguel replied, shoving the boy towards Alana.
She kicked the boy in the stomach, making him hunch over. She grabbed the headband off his head and Tory roundhouse kicked him in the face making him fall hard onto the ground. Alana gasped, "hey!" she said but the two ignored her
"No hard feelings." She taunted, walking past the boy. "No mercy." Miguel spat, following Tory.
Alana stood there with shock on her face when she helped the boy up. "hey, you okay." She said to the boy, he smiled and nodded before walking away and Alana tied the Headband to her wrist.
Alana walked away only to find Miguel. "hey, where's Tory?" She asked. "Hawk got her." He replied angrily. "what's wrong?" She questioned. "Hawk stole the Medal of Honor." He replied.
"It's ok, we'll get it back," She said reassuringly Miguel nodded and grabbed her hand before they walked off

"Finally some worthy opponents." He stated.
"So, you're the one who trashed Miyagi-Do." Miguel spat. "They're the enemy. I had to put them in their place." Hawk retorted "So, that means you had to trash their dojo and steal the Medal of Honor?" Alana questioned.
"What do you care? Just because you two still have a thing for Sam and Keene doesn't mean I have to go soft." Hawk snapped. "We're not soft. And this isn't about them." Miguel said.
"Sure it isn't." Hawk reached into his shirt and pulled out the Medal of Honor. "You two want the medal so bad? Come and take it." He taunted, tucking it back into his shirt.
The three kids got into their positions Hawk threw a kick at Alana which she blocked. He went to throw another kick but she grabbed his leg and pulled his forward making him stumble. She punched his face before shoving Hawk to Miguel.
The two boys started swinging at each other until Miguel was able to get Hawk pinned down. Miguel threw a punch to his chest but Hawk brought his foot up into Miguel's chest. "Is that all you got?" He mocked before kicking Miguel who landed against a tree
Alana ran at Hawk and went to swing but he ducked making her miss, she grabbed a ball of his shirt and punched him repeatedly and after she swung again he grabbed her arm and threw her to the ground before kicking her in the face making her grunt in pain and look down
Miguel watched this and he got mad, he took a breath and got to his feet and ran at Hawk, kicking him in the chest. Hawk stumbled before swinging at Miguel but blocked it before punching him.
Hawk went to throw a punch but Miguel caught his arm and flipped him over, making him land on his back. Miguel went over to him and ripped the headband off of his head before snatching the chain from his neck. "That's all I've got." Miguel spat.
Miguel walked over to Alana and helped her up, noticing her hand over her eye. "Hey, you ok, lemme see." He said softly, pulling her wrist away only to see a light purple bruise forming on her eye.
As he was helping her, everyone walked over to them. Miguel held the headband up in victory "Finish him," Kreese muttered, nodding towards Hawk. Miguel nodded, sending a spinning back kick to Hawks face making him fall to the ground.
"Team black!" Miguel yelled in victory. The rest of the kids ran over to congratulate Miguel while Alana walked over to Johnny. "you ok?" He asked worriedly. "Yeah, Hawk got my eye good but i'm fine." She replied, Ray came out of nowhere and snatched Miguel's headband off of his head
Johnny walked over to miguel with alana next to him. "What was that? That's not how I taught you to fight." Johnny spat. "It's what Sensei Kreese taught us. This isn't a tournament. This is real life." Miguel stated, "Is that how you wanna live your life?" Johnny asked. Miguel just looked at him Johnny just scoffed in disappointment.
