Alana Chambers was known as the girl who lived alone in a trailer park near reseda boulevard, which was true. Alana used to live in a small house with her parents. Until her mother passed away due to an overdose when Alana was 6. Her dad had left two years prior to that due to always arguing.
Alana was moved into the Reseda trailer park in hopes of being parented by her father, but by day 3 he left and took all the food in the fridge and along with the money she got by her mother. She basically raised herself by 7 years old.
Luckily some neighbors helped her with money problems and bringing her food from their own homes or stores, along with buying her clothes. The local neighborhood in the Park were a family. By the age of 10 she started doing side jobs, such as cleaning other people's homes and doing yard work, babysitting, etc.
Though she matured faster than others she still acted like a kid and enjoyed it, throughout her growing up on her own, her father did decide to pop up and stay for 2-4 weeks and as always he decides to take things he can find, good for her when she found a small hidden place in her closet to store some backup money she made so really when he does leave, he takes some food and almost 25 bucks due to a little jar she has on her counter. (food money) as she calls it.
The last time her father did show up was when she was 12 and ever since then, he never called or came by, but she liked it that way.
Alana always liked being alone, until she was in the 3rd grade and met her two best friends, Eli and Demetri. The three of them have always stuck together no matter what.
In the 6th grade she met Samantha Larusso, they were reading partners and immediately clicked throughout the years, though in 8th grade Alana did develop a tiny crush on Sam, she never acted upon it, scared of rejection. Then when they went to high school, they just stopped talking, due to Sam meeting these new girls.
Turns out their friendship ended when Kyler, a friend of Sam's, decided that it would be funny to pour a strawberry milkshake on Alana while she was in the cafeteria with her two best friends. Everyone laughed and the only thing she felt was sadness. She looked at Demetri and Eli to see them grabbing their stuff and helping the girl up. Ever since then Kyler and his friends gave her the nickname "Cherry"
Alana never looked at Sam again. She knew Sam knew what was gonna happen, no wonder why Sam didn't wanna sit with her that day. It sucked that they still sat next to each other in class but they didn't even acknowledge each other.
When Alana turned 15 she was given a red jeep that actually belonged to her mom. It's been her most special gift and being in it reminds her of her mom.
Alana's life obviously changed throughout the years but it changes more when Miguel diaz moves.
