It was the usual morning for me. Waking up before 7 am, eating my healthy breakfast, taking a bath, and going to work. It was a typical cycle that I was doing for the past 7 years after I graduated.
"Secretary Na, what's todays schedule?," I asked my secretary beside me while walking along the hallway of the Queens Mall."One meeting later at 3 pm, two paper signings at 10 am and 11 am," Secretary Na answered me while looking at her iPad where she input my schedules.
"Alright. Anything else?," I asked her again, still walking and all our associates following us behind.
"The one trillion dollar group won't accept you to enter ma'am," Secretary Na replied.
I stopped walking. They stopped, too.
Secretary Na's face is saying I should not bring that up this early in the morning. We are all screwed.
I look at Secretary Na,"Why would they not accept me?"
"They said that your mall doesn't earn trillion... yet," Secretary Na replied slowly.
"Really? How much did we earn this past five years? " I asked her and continued walking. We are approaching the escalator of the mall.
"For the last five years Queens recorded a total sale of 9,000,000,000 won ma'am," Secretary Na replied.
We are now on the escalator, and the secretary was behind me because the escalator can only fit two people at one piece of stair.
"We are only one billion behind. Is that a big gap?," I asked her.
She tilted her head,"I don't think so ma'am that's what I told them too, but they insist that you need to reach 1 trillion won before you can join."
"That's unfair," I muttered to myself.
Then we arrived at the top floor of the mall where all the offices were located.
