After dinner with Soo-hyun and our casual talk. I got a message from Grandfather summoning me home.

The Kim family estate is an expansive and elegant home surrounded by lush gardens.

My grandfather, Mr. Kim is seated in his study, an old but sharp man with a calm demeanor and a keen sense of understanding. I has been summoned by him for a private conversation, a rare but significant occurrence.

I knocked on his door and peeking at his study curiously,"Grandfather, you wanted to see me?"

I saw him, and he gestured me to come in,"Yes, Ji-won. Come, have a seat. We need to talk."

Sitting down, slightly I am apprehensive.

"Is everything alright?"I asked.

"Everything is fine, my dear. I've just been thinking a lot about you lately. I know you've been under a lot of pressure from your parents regarding Ji Chang-wook."he replied, smiling a warmly.

I sighed and nodded a bit,"It's been overwhelming, to be honest. They're so focused on what's best for the business that they're not listening to what I want."

"I've noticed. Your mother is quite determined, but I think she's lost sight of what's truly important-your happiness." He said, sighing.

"You understand how I feel, Grandfather?" I asked him a bit surprised.

"Of course I do. You're my granddaughter, and I've always believed that happiness should come before business. I didn't raise your father to prioritize wealth over family, but somewhere along the way, he and your mother have become too focused on their ambitions." He replied, smiling gently.

I felt a wave of relief, and I said,"I wish they could see it that way. I've tried to talk to them, but they don't listen. Especially mom."

"That's where I come in. Ji-won, I want to help you stand up to them. You deserve to make your own choices, especially when it comes to something as important as marriage." He replied, leaning forward, and he looked serious.

"You would do that for me?" I asked, astonished.

"Absolutely. You're not alone in this. I may be old, but I still hold some sway in this family. Your parents respect me, and they will listen when I speak. But you must be ready to stand your ground as well." He said with firmness.

"I'm ready, Grandfather. I just... I didn't know how to do it on my own." I replied, feeling a surge of hope rushing through my veins after what grandfather said.

But he knows that I don't back down easily. But I am grateful for what he said.

"You're stronger than you think, Ji-won. And with me by your side, we'll make sure they understand that you won't be pushed into something you don't want." He said, reassuring me.
