"So, Soo-hyun, are you planning to marry my granddaughter?," grandfather asked Soo-hyun, taking him back a bit.
The whole dining room was silent, and we were all waiting for his answer.
"Grandfather, that's very direct question," I said.
"He can't even answer immediately," mom muttered, but we all heard her.
Soo-hyun brought down his fork and spoon, then replied,"yes sir"
I was shocked. I looked at Soo-hyun, but his focus is on grandfather only. Mom's mouth was wide agape, and everyone else was surprised.
"There you got it," unnie Tae-ri said.
"What do you do for a living young man?," grandfather asked him.
"I'm a lawyer, sir," Soo-hyun replied, proud of his profession.
"Really?," dad asked, joining the conversation.
"Yes, sir," Soo-hyun replied to dad.
"What cases are your specialty?," grandfather asked again.
"Criminal cases, sir," Soo-hyun replied.
"Interesting," Tae-ri unnie joined the conversation, too.
"That's too dangerous for a living. What if you got a case involving big names and some sort of bad groups. That will threaten your security right," mom said.
I hate her. She likes Chang-wook, that lier guy. I hate him to the core. He lied to me he played me and another girl. Ugh! Disgusting! I will never ever get involved with him again.
"Yes ma'am, but my safety is secure, and I won't let anything happen to someone I love," Soo-hyun replied, and he looked at me after answering mom.
I give him a small smile. He is making my heart beat race. He's a real charmer. He charmed me from the very first time that he helped me in that event. Those muscular arms that flex whenever he picks something up and his eyes speak volumes and the way he asks me something and says my name it's so so so sweet.
"So Soo-hyun, what does your family do?," unnie Tae-hee asked.
Soo-hyun put his attention on her,"My father was a politician, and my mother is a full-time housewife, and she takes care of our family farm."
"Your mom sounds very warm," unnie Tae-ri said.
"She is ma'am," Soo-hyun replied.
