I sat at the table in the small Soowon Café, my laptop opened in front of me, but my eyes kept drifting towards Ji-won.

She sat across from me, her brow furrowed in concentration as she scrolled through her notes, occasionally typing something into her own laptop.

The two of us had been working together on this new project for a couple of weeks now, and while it was meant to be just a collaboration, it felt like so much more.

I took a sip of my coffee, trying to focus on the task at hand.

But every time I glanced at Ji-won, a soft smile tugged at my lips.

Our dynamic had shifted ever since we started dating.

There was this unspoken connection, a deepening bond that made even the most mundane moments feel significant.

"Hey," Ji-won said suddenly, snapping me out of my thoughts.

She tilted her head, her eyes bright with curiosity. "What do you think of this concept for the marketing campaign? Do you think we can tie it into the social media strategy we talked about?"

I leaned forward, scanning her screen. "Let me see…" I read through her notes and nodded. "I think it works. Actually, I think we can emphasize the personal stories behind the brand more, like we discussed earlier. It’ll make the campaign feel more authentic."

Ji-won’s eyes lit up. "Exactly! That’s what I was thinking, too."

She smiled at me, and I felt my heart skip a beat. "You always get where I’m going with these ideas."

I chuckled, trying to keep my composure. "Well, that’s why we make a good team."

Ji-won’s smile widened, and she reached across the table to playfully tap my hand. "We really do, don’t we?"

I felt a warmth spread through my chest at her touch.

Working on this project together had been a perfect excuse to spend more time with her, but I hadn’t anticipated just how much I would enjoy our collaboration.

It wasn’t just about the work—we were learning how to communicate, how to trust each other’s instincts, and how to build something together.

"Okay," Ji-won said, her focus shifting back to the screen. "We’re almost done with the first part. I think we can finalize the pitch by the end of the week."

I nodded, typing quickly as I reviewed my notes. "I agree. We’re definitely on track."

We worked in comfortable silence for a while, the soft hum of the café around them.

I couldn’t help but glance at Ji-won every so often, watching the way her lips pressed together in concentration or the way her fingers moved quickly across the keyboard.
