Chapter one.
Ariadne sat up at the site of the two Hobbits, both lounging on a fallen wall, holding a mug of ale and waving their pipes as they greet them. Merry laughed, smiling widely as Ariadne jumped down from the horse, catching Merry in a hug. Legolas watched with a smile, sharing a look with Aragorn as he chuckles softly. Pippin smiles as Ariadne places a kiss on his cheek, his cheeks dusting bright red.
"Welcome, my lords and my lady," Pippin winks at Ariadne, making her laugh, "To Isengard."
"You young rascals!" Gimli exclaims, looking up at the Hobbits, who smile cheekily, "You have led us on and now we find you feasting and smoking!"
"We are sitting on a field of victory," Merry smirks, "Enjoying well earnt comforts."
"As you should," Ariadne replies, climbing up the rocks to stands beside them, looking down at Gimli with a smirk, "And enjoy a well earnt drink."
Ariadne hands them their ale as Gimli stutters, looking up at them eyes wide. Legolas laughs, following Gandalf and Aragorn into Isengard. He stops at by the wall, allowing Ariadne to climb in front of him on the horse, smiling softly as she presses a kiss on his cheek.
Isengard was flooded, Orc's bodies floated to the surface, broken trees and debris dance along the surface. Saruman's tower stands tall as they approach, Ariadne's hand tightens around Legolas's, a uneasy sinking feeling sits in her stomach. Looking over her shoulder, she offers Merry, who sits behind Gimli, a small smile.
Treebeard, a tall tree, offers them a greeting, bowing gently at Gandalf, "Young master Gandalf, I'm glad you have come. Wood and water, stock and stone I can, master," Treebeard peers up at the tower, a scowl breaking his bark, "But there is a Wizard to manage here, locked in his tower."
Gandalf looks up at the tower, sighing, "Even in defeat, Saruman is dangerous."
"Then lets just have his head and be done with it,"
Ariadne can't help but smile at the dwarf's bluntness. Legolas's tightens the grip around Ariadne's waist as Saruman appears, scowling down at them.
"You have fought many wards and slayed many men, Theoden King and made peace afterwards," Saruman says, looking down at the King, who frowns, "Can we not take council together as we once did, my old friend?"
"We will have peace when you answer for the burning of the Westfolds and the children that lie dead there!" The King shouts in reply, "We shall have peace when the lives of the soldiers whose bodies were hewn even as the lay dead against the gates of the Hornburg are avenged!"
Saruman leans against his staff, sneering down at them, "What do you want Gandalf greyhame?" He rhetorically asks, "Let me guess. The keys of Orthanc, or perhaps the keys of Barad Dur itself? Along with the crowns of the seven Kings and the rods of the five wizards?"
