"Did you see the new photos nct dream released?" Haerin excitedly nudged Chaewon. "Jisung looks so cute."

"Fuck yes, Jaemin can ask me to get on my knees and I would, for him." Chaewon said dreamily.

The group of three were calmly sat in the canteen of their university, a tray of food in front of them. The cafeteria bustled with activity, everyone queuing up to grab the food they want on their trays. It was the peak lunch period, the whole cafeteria was almost fully packed with students.

"What is nct dream?" Jiyun asked, confused at her friend's talk. "Why would you get on your knees for them," she furrowed her eyebrows. Haerin and Chaewon could only gasp in shock, eyes wide as they stared at their friend sitting on the opposite of them. They were looking at her as if she just committed the most hideous crime ever.

"No way..."
"I can't believe she just asked that."
"Is she even our friend?"

The girl only blinked back at them, rolling her eyes at their dramatic reaction. "They are a group of 7 boys who are kpop idols basically, they are really really good at their job," Chaewon replied. "Haerin and I both like them a lot."

"Oh they're kpop idols? No wonder I've never heard of them before," Jiyun sighed while the other two looked at her in confusion. "My parents just restrict a lot of things I see online. No idea why but they don't allow me to look at kpop idols or even listen to their music."

"That's weird, maybe they are just scared you'd fall for them and become more delusional than you are right now," Haerin joked. Jiyun glared at her, kicking her leg from under the table.
"You didn't even say anything when Chaewon said she would go on her knees by command."

"Don't even group me with you."
The three burst out in laughter, the air filled with warmth at the shared jokes. Jiyun felt grateful towards them, giggling jovially and cherishing the light-hearted moment with her friends.

She was sitting on the swing, a grin occupying her lips. A mixture of her high-pitched giggle with a low-pitched one filled the air. A hand lightly placed on her back each time she swung back, giving her a gentle push.

"I feel like a kid again," Jiyun spoke.
"You sure act like one," his deep voice replied, a lightness to his tone.

She felt like she was on cloud nine, happiness overflowing out of her. The wind blowing her hair while she swung, getting an adrenaline rush the higher she went. It got to the point where she swung way too high, feeling like she was about to fall off as she nearly crossed the equilibrium point that could make her go a full circle around.

She panicked. "This is too high, stop!" She yelled hurriedly, her foot tried to touch the ground but missing because of her height. The boy's hands gently held on the chains of the swing, pushing it the opposite way so that it slowed down instead.

He held the swing in place as it slowed to a stop. "Thanks," the 18 year old girl thanked, turning around to face him. What she saw made her scream. He was faceless, his black hair messy with a hoodie on, a blue hair tie around his wrist. "What the fuck?"

"Why did you leave me?"
"What? Leave wh- who even are you?" Jiyun questioned, her entire body frozen in shock as she watched the boy walk backwards into the darkness of the forest behind him.

Jiyun shot up from her bed, cold sweat beading down her forehead. She was hyperventilating, her hands shaking and her heart beating so fast she was scared she could get a heart attack. Her hands gripped her mattress tightly, needing something to ground her.

She closed her eyes, focussing on breathing in and out to steady her breaths. This went on for 5 minutes until she managed to get a grip of herself. Her grip on the mattress loosened as she leaned back against her headboard in exhaustion.

The sun hadn't risen yet. Jiyun checked the time, 5:57am. This was the earliest she had ever woken up. She still felt drained, from waking up so early and from the nightmare she had. However, she can't fall back asleep after that.

Her senses were still on high alert. She brought her knees up to her chest, resting her cheeks on her knees as she wrapped her arm around her legs.

Maybe I'm still missing some memories.
But the doctor said I got them all back.
I'm probably just thinking too much into it.

Her mind raced with thoughts, staring out the window but not actually looking at anything at all. She knew her incident caused her to have amnesia — but that's the thing, it was all she knew about what had happened. Apart from the fact that her family had moved back to Canada a few weeks after the doctor gave the green light for her to be discharged.

Jiyun let out a heavy sigh, deciding to put it at the back of her mind. She got up to start doing her university work, concluding that she should be productive since she could not fall back asleep anyways.

She tied her hair up with the blue band around her wrist, sitting down at her desk with a determined look to start her day on the right foot.

And to forget about the nightmare she just had.
