"Aww aren't you an adorable little thing," Jiyun cooed, squatting by the side of the pathway, flowers and trees surrounding the area. One hand circled around her knees to keep balance while the other stretched out to stroke the cat's fur. "I wish I could keep you, I've always wanted a cat."
The sun shone incandescently in the midst of the vast blue sky, its rays unforgiving as it contributed to the relentless summer heat. Nothing could get between Jiyun and the cat though, despite the sweat beading down her forehead, she still continued to stay in that position to pat the cat.
An adoring smile on her face, her eyes sparkling with delight as she babied the cat. She quickly glanced at the time on her phone, realising that if she didn't leave now she was going to be late for her lecture.
Hesitantly, she paused her movements, standing up and dusting herself off. The cat let out a soft whine at the sudden loss of her touch. "I wish I could stay too but I have to go," Jiyun frowned, giving the cat a last goodbye stroke before turning around to continue her journey which she had gotten sidetracked from when she found the animal. "I'll come back soon, alright?"
