Time flew by in the blink of an eye, the air grew still as the temperature started to drop. People could be seen dressing more warmly, adorned with a simple coat or jacket. As frost creeps across the landscape, it engulfed the earth with a crystalline blanket. The chilly air could be felt, every breath turning into a puff of smoke.

"I can't believe it has been 10 months since we were here already, time is actually going by too fast," Haerin spoke as they ate dinner together in a restaurant.

The korean barbecue restaurant was cosy, it provided them with the soothing warmth they needed from the cold weather. They sat by a corner, tucked away from most of the crowd which gave them some privacy. Haerin was in charge of cooking for the three, using the tongs to flip the meat once in a while.

A sense of dread washed over Jiyun, she didn't want their time here to end. She was scared for what would happen once they went back to Canada — would life just go back to how it was before?

As the days progressed, her time with Mark drew closer to the end. The doubts and fears about the future felt like a heavy burden on her shoulders. Being in Korea was everything she thought it would be, and more.

She didn't want to leave.

"It felt like such a fever dream honestly," Chaewon sighed, heart heavy as well from the thought that their time here was going to end. "Nah I actually don't want to go back and face reality in Canada, life there might actually ruin me," there was a shadow that crossed her features before it was gone in a flash.

"I don't think Canada is that bad to ruin you but Korea has definitely been really fun, what do you think Jiyun?" Haerin called her name, pulling her out from her thoughts. She blinked at her friend, confused for a moment.

"What- oh, I don't really want to leave..."Jiyun trailed off, a frown on her face that displayed her concerns.

"You don't want to leave Korea or you don't want to leave Mark?" Haerin teased, wiggling her eyebrows and chuckling. Instead of feigning anger at her, Jiyun simply sighed in distraught.

"Mark. I don't want to leave him, what would we be when we get split apart? It's a twelve hour time difference and half the world away from here," Jiyun ranted, the more she talked about it, the longer the list of cons seemed to grow about her going back to Canada.

Chaewon patted her back in an effort at comforting her, though it seemed ineffective as Jiyun's tensed shoulders still stayed. "If you guys managed to rekindle after being split apart once, I'm sure you can get through this easily and find a way out of it," Chaewon voiced out, her optimistic perceptions still continued to be drowned out by Jiyun's doubts.
