The echo of heavy footsteps on the floor resonated through the room, the anxious boy kept walking back and forth waiting for someone as the day went by. Yet, Jiyun hadn't shown up yet.

Their relationship was still new, him confessing to her and asking her out only just a week ago. They had been friends for 5 years and it just felt right.

But currently, it had already been over an hour from the time they had agreed to meet up and Jiyun was still nowhere in sight. Mark had been waiting at the dorm's lobby for more than an hour, and as time flew past he started to overthink.

What if she regrets dating me?
Oh my gosh did I mess up already?
Shit shit I should just go to her house.

With a cap on his head and a mask to cover his face, he left the dorms to flag down a taxi. Upon getting one, he immediately headed down to her house.

Mark rushed out of the car and went straight for her door bell, ringing it more times than necessary due to his immense worry. Jiyun's mother was the one to open the door, eyes displaying her surprise at the idol stood by her doorstep.

"Where's Jiyun? Is she okay?" Mark blurted out, wanting to rush inside to find her but stopped himself, waiting for permission.

"She's not feeling well, she has a flu," her mother replied, eyes narrowing at him. She didn't know about their newly established relationship yet, but all she did know was that they were close.

Jiyun's mother didn't know how to feel about her daughter's closeness with an idol after hearing all about their obsessive fans — as long as Mark was nearby, Jiyun was at risk. However, she put up with it as long as he made her daughter happy.

"Um...can I go see her?" Without a word, Jiyun's mother stepped aside in silent agreement, letting the concerned boy enter. Mark rushed in, heading directly for his girlfriend's room.

Quietly, he knocked on the door and opened it, stepping inside the dimly-lit room. He frowned at the sight, Jiyun's hair was messily sprawled across her pillow, a fever patch stuck onto her forehead.

Her eyes lethargically opened to see who it was, slightly surprised to see Mark there in her room. "Hey hottie," she weakly smiled, raising her hand to wave at him. "Why are you sweating so much."
