Chapter 21: threats

His POV

Its been few days since the accident happened. Mas mahigpit na ang seguridad sa palasyo at sinisugurado ko rin na mahigpit ang pagbabantay sa tatlo naming anak. Even if the twins are quite good with swordsmanship and Chaos is learning archery, it is still not enough for them to protect themselves. Masiyado pa silang bata para mapahamak.

"Lalim naman ata ng iniisip mo?" Napalingon ako sa likod ko ng marinig ko ang boses ni Arthurian Nievezs, isa sa mga knights ni Amelianna. His surname does seem familiar to me though.

"Do you have any royal blood in you? Your surname does ring a bell to me." I curiously asked him but instead of an answer, he just gave me a mysterious smirk and shake his head.

"Hindi 'yan ang sagot sa tanong ko."  Pacool niyang saad habang may kakaibang ngisi parin sa labi. Nagsalubong ang dalawa kong kilay dahil halata naman na wala siyang balak na sagutin yung tanong ko.

"What are you doing here?" Pag-iiba ko sa usapan na ikinatayo naman niya ng diretso at tumingin sa harap kung nasaan makikita ang tatlong batang lalaki na nage-ensayo. "May natanggap akong pagbabanta." Sagot niya sa tanong ko na ikinalukot ng noo ko.

"Why did you receive one?" I curiously asked him but he remained quiet for a few seconds before speaking. "How did they even know that I'm her brother?" He said that made me even more confuse. "What the hell are you talking about?" I said as my voice is hinting confusion and irritation because I can't understand anything he's saying.

He didn't said anything and just remained quiet which ticks me off. "Are you really not gonna tell me anything nor explain why you received a threat?" I growled at him which thankfully got his attention. "Sa akin na lang 'yon saka maiintindihan rin naman ng asawa mo ang sinasabi ko kung makakaalala na siya." He mysteriously said and left me hanging in his words.

I scoffed and look back at my children. The twins are practicing their swordsmanship while Chaos is practicing archery. I sigh, feeling a little stress because I have been frequently overthinking because of some people meddling with our lives.

Tumalikod na ako at nagdesisyon na puntahan nalang ang asawa ko sa library. Nakita ako ng ilang kawal na bantay sa pinto ng silid-aklatan kaya agad nilang binuksan ang pinto at pinapasok ako.

I climbed the stair to go to the second floor and walk towards a direction where my wife mostly read books. I squint my eyes when I saw that Amelianna's not alone, may kasama siya at dalawang babae pa iyon.

"Are you really sure you don't remember us?"

"No. Wala akong maalala."

"Baka nagpapanggap ka lang. You're good at it after all."

Nakalapit na ako sa kanila kaya naririnig ko ang mga pinag-uusapan nila. My forehead creased because of that familiar voice. I stood behind the women's back and cleared my throat.

"What do you want?" Masungit na tanong ni Summer Nievezs. Hindi ko siya pinansin at umupo sa tabi ni Amelianna. "Does your head hurts?" I asked her. Nginitian niya lang ako at umiling.

"How rude." Rinig kong komento ni Summer kaya napatingin ako sa kaniya. I look at him closely and noticed something. "You have the same facial features as Arthurian but at the same time, you don't." I curiously uttered that made her face crumbled.

"How did you know the name of my older brother?" Nagtataka niyang tanong na ikinagulat ko. She's Arthurian's little sister!?! Is that the reason why she's also receiving threats!?!
