CHAPTER 5: A HOT NIGHT

His POV

I loosen the buttons on my suit to loose the forming heat on my body caused by the empress. I licked my lower lip and lied down on the soft matress of my bed. Even if I married the ruler of this empire, we never slept together nor do 'it'.

Pinikit ko ang mga mata ko dahil narin sa pagod at unti-unti ay nilamon na ako ng antok.

NAGISING ako dahil sa ingay na nanggagaling mula sa labas ng kwarto ko. I sit up on my bed and frown when my beauty sleep got disturbed. Why are they even noisy about this early in the morning?

"My lord!" Napatingin ako sa isang servant na naka-assign sa akin at mukhang may kasama siya na may dalang tray ng ng pagkain ko.

"Utos ng kamahalan na gisingin ka namin dahil bibisita ang kaniyang mga kaibigan pero mukhang nagising ka nga 'di dahil sa akin kung hindi dahil sa ingay na nanggagaling sa labas." Mahabang dadal niya that made my face crumble more.

"You're too talkative for a servant." I bluntly said then got off my bed and stretch my arms sighed. "Kakaiba po kasi ako at one of a kind lang!" She said full of herself that made me frown even more.

"Leave." Utos ko na agad nilang sinunod ng kasama niya. I went to the bathroom and saw that my tub was already filled with soapy water and the aroma of lavender is scattered around the room.

I tilted my head backwards when I sank my whole body inside the warm tub of soapy water. I like it when I wake up every morning and my bathtub is already set.

When I already finished my bath and wearing my clothes I left my room and walk around the wide hallways of the palace. I can see servants and maids rushing on every direction of the place and decorating every corner of it.

"Are they really that important?" I whispered to myself and continued walking. I went to my favorite spot in the palace and smiled a little when I saw all the flowers have bloomed already.

I touch the petal of a white rose and smiled when I remember this is her highness' favorite flower. I let go of the flower and looked at the other ones.

Nasa gano'ong eksena ako ng may narinig akong mga boses hindi kalayuan kung saan ako nakayuko. Tumingin ako sa likuran ko ng marinig ko ang boses ng mga babaeng nagtatawanan at nag-uusap.

"Gano'n talaga kapag under and mapapangasawa HAHAHA!"

"How about you Lianna? Kamusta ang buhay may asawa?"

"Its fine."

"Siguraduhin mo lang na hindi ka sinasaktan niyang asawa mo kung hindi ay bibitayin ko siya."

"Ang brutal mo naman Amanda. By the way, same."

I pursed my lips when I heard the voice of two female talking about their plan of executing me if I hurt my empress. Hahaha, they're just joking right?

"Look who's here, the devil himself."

Umikot ako para makita silang lahat and that just ended up with me blinking multiple times because I recognized their faces. Aren't they the wives/fiancees of my friends?

"We met again, Rawwel Santillian." Nakangiti pero mababakasan ng sarkastikong saad ni Amanda na ang mga mata ay matatalim na nakatingin sa akin. I can also feel the other piercing glares from the others.
