Yoonna returned back to the cafe after a long day of practice with the boys. The evaluators had given her another chance after Haechan's coach discussed with them. She was given a week to write a report on her attitude that day and what she learned from being a support player, and they would screen through her progress before deciding to keep her.

She sat at the table near the counter, currently having free time as most of the customers were minding their businesses and there were no newcomers. Her head tucked between her arms as she closed her eyes, trying to catch some rest.

Yoonna didn't realised that she had fallen asleep on the table, a figure slowly placing his jacket over her shoulder. She was disturbed from her sleep when a loud 'clang' sounded from the counter, making her jolt awake in alarm.

Her head whipped around towards the culprit who had widened eyes, panic evidence in his orbs as he glanced over at her in hopes that she wasn't awake. Unfortunately for him, she was staring at him disapprovingly after recognizing him.

"Lee Haechan, what the fuck are you doing?!"

Yoonna's sleepiness washed away instantly as she strode towards him, taking away the pitcher that was in his hands while he was still stunned. She glared at him, sighing at the sight of the coffee spilt on the floor and went back to the staff room to get a mop.

"I can help you-"

"No. You, go there and sit down. I'm banning you from the counter along with Jisung."

Yoonna sternly pointed at him as he tried to offer some help. Haechan nodded quietly and did as she told, watching her tidy up the mess he made for his first attempt on a cup of coffee.

"Haech- oh Yoonna, you are awake," Jeno greeted the grumpy girl that was still cleaning the machine, looking over to the table the girl was previously sleeping at to see Haechan guiltily focus his gaze at him.

"What did you do?"

Jeno whispered to the male as he sat down beside him, seeing that the male was trying to act innocent but in vain. Haechan glanced at him with a sheepish smile before focusing his eyes back on the female that was leaning on the counter, blinking her eyes in tiredness after the sudden energy she gained from her annoyance at Haechan vanished.

“Sorry Yoonna,” Haechan gave her an apologetic, timid smile. Yoonna rolled her eyes at his sudden change of attitude after last week’s awkward conversation, slamming the door to the staff room.

Haechan worriedly searched for Jeno’s help, the older male shrugged.

“Jeno, please help me.”

“Sorry Donghyuck, even if I really wish to help you, I don’t know how. She doesn’t really remember us yet and yet you made her grumpy after a long day from her practice.”
Jeno patted Haechan’s shoulder as an encouragement, sliding his backpack over himself and bid the desperate boy a goodbye.

Haechan groaned inwardly, regretting his choices to visit the cafe wanting to start some conversation with the girl and try to get to know her more. Instead, he accidentally made Yoonna mad and now he doesn’t know if the female would reply to him.

Yoonna came out of the staff room as Haechan was fidgeting in his seat, his thoughts being carried away to notice that she was standing beside him, her bag already hung on her shoulder.

“What's on your mind?”

Haechan jolted in his seat, turning around to met Yoonna’s eyes briefly before averting away. He grabbed his jacket and his bag, standing up on his feet.
“Nothing. Are you leaving? What about the cafe?”

“Hendery is on the way,” Yoonna nonchalantly replied as she exited the door with Haechan following behind her like a lost puppy. Just as Yoonna said, the older male bumped into them a few feet away from the cafe as both sides exchanged goodbyes before resuming their paths.

Yoonna stopped by the convenience store, wanting to grab some food since it was close to midnight and she hadn’t eaten dinner. Haechan silently waited at the table, watching her pick out the food and noticed she took a vanilla cake, the same cake she paid for when they had their unpleasant encounter in the same convenience store.

“Why are you still here?”
Yoonna questioned when she realised the boy had followed her to the store but he didn’t get any stuff. Haechan gestured to the chair for her to sit after he pulled it nearer to the table, and Yoonna hesitantly sat down.

“I just…wanted to talk, like, get to know you?”

Haechan questioned, also unsure of why he came to find her in the first place. His feet had just brought him to where she was after asking Kun and he convinced himself that he would want to check on her, especially since he knew the incident a month ago but didn’t bother to show concern as he was still wrapped in hatred.

Yoonna nodded, sipping on her soup, not minding the boy who was watching her intensely. They stayed in silence as Yoonna ate her dinner with Haechan watching her and occasionally glancing around the store to ease his boredom.

The two walked back to their apartment side by side, enjoying the peaceful night in their neighbourhood after Yoonna’s dinner. Haechan watched Yoonna enter her house before he turned towards the opposite of her corridor to his dorm.

?

Damnit, I forgot to remind Yoonna about the meeting. Why am I being so awkward? Ugh, I shall find her tomorrow.

Shaking his head, Haechan entered the door and threw his keys on the table and strode back to his room.
