Chapter 4: Loop

Yeji's Pov:

As Felix, Minho, and I split up to chase down leads on Hyun-woo's whereabouts, while Lia and Seungmin stay back to coordinate and process any new information. The race against time intensifies, and the weight of the unfolding mystery presses heavily on us all.

While us three were in the high-end apartment complex in Gangnam were the most recent murder took place I get a call from Karina.

"Hello?" I say in a confused manner

"Yeji..... Choi Hyun-woo.... He has been murder near the President's house.." Karina replied with horror in her voice.

"HUH!? WHERE ARE YOU?!" I ask her and I quickly motioned Felix and Minho to get into the car.

"In the crime scene... God it's horrible.." She says while probably trying not to gag.

Felix and Minho exchanged worried glances as they hurriedly followed me into the car. The weight of Karina's words hung heavy in the air.

"We're on our way," I said, my voice firm despite the shock coursing through me. I ended the call and relayed the information to Felix and Minho. "Choi Hyun-woo has been murdered near the President's house."

"How is that even possible?" Felix muttered, starting the car. "We were just following leads on him."

Minho shook his head, his face pale. "We need to find out what happened and fast."

The drive felt like an eternity, tension thickening with every passing second. Lia and Seungmin were updated about the new development, their voices filled with concern and urgency over the phone.

When we arrived near the President's residence, the scene was chaotic. Police cars, flashing lights, and a cordoned-off area marked the crime scene. Karina was standing near the edge of the crowd, her face a mix of shock and determination. She spotted me and rushed over.

"Yeji, it's bad," Karina said, her voice trembling. "The scene... it's brutal. It looks like he was trying to send a message."

I took a deep breath, trying to steady myself. "We need to see it. We need to understand."

As I approached the crime scene, the gravity of the situation became even more apparent. Choi Hyun-woo's body lay in a pool of blood, the brutality of the murder evident. The surroundings were eerily silent despite the activity, a stark contrast to the chaos I felt inside.

"We need to find out who did this and why," Felix said, his voice steely. "This changes everything."

Minho nodded in agreement, his eyes scanning the scene for any clues. "We need to find any leads, anything that can point us in the right direction."

As you all stood there, absorbing the gravity of the situation, I knew that the race against time had just become even more critical.

"Team start the investigation" I order them.

After searching and searching and we find a message written with blood. "Thought he was the killer? There you go killed him now what?"

I felt cold chills down my spine reading the message. Who ever was this killer that person is smart as hell..... So smart that it makes me believe that it's not just a single person doing it instead it's a group of people.

I quickly notify Lia and Seungmin about the murder and tell them to check the CCTV cameras around this areas.

I tell the rest of the team "I don't think this is just a single person I think it's a group of people doing it."

Lia and Seungmin confirmed they were already working on accessing the CCTV footage, hoping to find any clue about the killer or killers. I could hear the urgency in their voices, knowing they felt the same pressure to crack this case wide open.
