Ryujin's Pov:

Yeji and I head out for our beach date, just like we planned. The sun hangs lazily in the sky, casting a golden glow over the shore. The gentle sound of the waves rolling against the sand fills the air, and the breeze carries the fresh scent of the ocean. It's peaceful, almost like a dream.

We walk hand in hand, our feet sinking into the warm sand as we stroll along the shore. Yeji's hair dances in the wind, and she looks absolutely stunning in the sunlight, her smile soft and content.

“Hey,” I say, breaking the comfortable silence, “remember our first date?”

Yeji laughs, giving me a side glance. “How could I forget? You were so nervous, you could barely string a sentence together.”

I chuckle, rubbing the back of my neck. “Yeah, well, it all worked out in the end, didn’t it?”

Yeji grins, nudging me with her shoulder. “It did.”

We continue walking until we find a quiet spot near the water. I spread out the blanket I brought, and we both sit down, watching the waves lap at the shore. The world feels small here, just the two of us and the vast, endless ocean ahead.

Yeji leans her head on my shoulder, and we sit in comfortable silence for a while. The sun begins to dip lower in the sky, painting everything in shades of pink and orange.

“Ryu,” Yeji says softly, “do you ever think about the future?”

I turn to look at her, a little surprised by the question. “Yeah, I do. Why?”

She lifts her head to meet my gaze, her eyes serious but soft. “I just… I think about where we’ll be in a few years, what we’ll be doing. And I realize, no matter where life takes us, I want you to be there with me.”

My heart swells at her words, and I can’t help but smile. “I feel the same way.”

Yeji smiles back, her eyes filled with warmth. “Good. Because I think... we’re just getting started.”

We sit there, watching the sunset, the world around us quiet and still, both of us knowing that this moment—this day—is one we’ll always remember. The beach, the waves, the fading light—it all feels like the perfect start to the rest of our lives together.

After our quiet moment on the beach, Yeji suddenly stands up, pulling me to my feet with a mischievous grin on her face.

“Come on,” she says, tugging at my hand. “Let’s go have some fun in the water.”

I laugh, barely able to keep up as she drags me toward the ocean. The water is cool against my skin as we step in, the waves gently lapping at our ankles. Yeji’s eyes sparkle with excitement as she splashes water toward me.

“Oh, you’re going to regret that,” I tease, splashing her back with more force. She shrieks, laughing as she dodges the wave I sent her way.

Before I can react, she lunges at me, pushing me further into the water. I stumble, laughing as the water rises around us. Yeji’s giggles fill the air as she playfully tries to shove me deeper into the waves.

“You think you can take me down?” I ask, grinning as I grab her by the waist, lifting her slightly and spinning us both in the water. She squeals, clinging to me, her laughter infectious.

“Put me down!” she says between laughs, but she’s not really fighting it.

When I finally set her back on her feet, we’re both soaked, water dripping from our clothes and hair. Yeji’s smile is radiant, her laughter like music to my ears.
