Yeji's Pov

Back at HQ, Felix and Minho are waiting with more details about Kang Joon-ho.

"I don't know if I should say if it is good news or bad.... but Kang Joon-ho died two months ago" Felix says while holding his file.

"What!? But that footage wasn't that his face in it?" I ask my voice slightly louder than usual.

"Yeah but turns out the murder edited the video probably to confuse us" Minho says and sigh.

The revelation that Kang Joon-ho died two months ago throws us all for a loop. The killer's manipulation of the footage to frame him adds a layer of complexity and cunning to the case. I take a deep breath, trying to steady my thoughts.

"We need to pivot," I say, gathering the team. "The real killer is not only dangerous but also smart. They're trying to throw us off their trail. Let's focus on what we know for sure."

Minho speaks up, "If the killer is using old footage and going to such lengths to mislead us, there has to be a deeper connection or motive. We need to re-examine the crime scenes and our evidence with this new perspective."

"Agreed," I nod. "Let's go through the surveillance footage again. Maybe there are other clues we've missed. Also, let's review Kang Joon-ho's connections and see who might benefit from using his image."

As the team gets to work, I contact Yeonjun again. His connections to the political underworld might provide insights we haven't considered yet.

"Yeonjun," I say when he picks up, "Kang Joon-ho was killed two months ago. Someone is using his image to mislead us. I need any information on who might have had a motive to kill him or use his image now."

Yeonjun is silent for a moment before responding, "I didn't know he was dead. But if someone is going to these lengths, they're likely trying to settle old scores or hide something big. I'll dig deeper into my contacts and see what I can find."

"Thank you," I reply coldly.

Hanging up, I join the team in our war room. Felix and Minho are analyzing the surveillance footage again, while Karina and Lia are cross-referencing Joon-ho's known associates with recent activities.

As the hours tick by, we uncover a name that keeps popping up: Choi Hyun-woo, a former associate of Joon-ho with a history of violent crimes. He went underground around the same time Joon-ho was killed.

"This guy could be our lead," Lia says, pointing to Hyun-woo's profile on the screen. "If he's involved, he might have taken Joon-ho out to cover his tracks or eliminate a rival."

"We need to find him," I say, determination hardening my voice. "And we need to do it fast."

Felix, Minho, and I split up to chase down leads on Hyun-woo's whereabouts, while Lia and Seungmin stay back to coordinate and process any new information. The race against time intensifies, and the weight of the unfolding mystery presses heavily on us all.
