Ryujin's Pov:

The next day arrives with the warm glow of the sun streaming through the curtains, gently waking us up. I stretch and glance over at Yeji, who's still sleeping peacefully beside me, her face soft and relaxed. The events of the previous day play through my mind-the fun we had, the laughter, and the spontaneous food war with Niki and Yeji.

As I get out of bed quietly, not wanting to disturb her, I make my way to the kitchen to start preparing breakfast. It's a peaceful morning, the kind that makes everything feel right. After a while, I hear footsteps, and I turn around to see Yeji, still a little sleepy, rubbing her eyes as she walks over.

"Morning," she mumbles, her voice soft.

"Good morning," I say with a smile. "I was just about to make us some coffee."

She smiles lazily, leaning against the counter. "You know, yesterday was pretty crazy. I can't believe we ended up covered in ketchup and mustard."

I laugh at the memory. "Yeah, I guess I should've known better than to laugh at you and Niki. You two are a dangerous team."

Yeji chuckles softly, then steps closer and wraps her arms around my waist. "But it was fun," she says, resting her head against my shoulder.

I kiss the top of her head, enjoying the quiet moment. "It was. But today, we'll keep it less messy, I promise."

"Good," she says, pulling back slightly with a playful grin. "Because I don't think I can handle another impromptu food fight."

We share a quiet laugh, and as we sip our coffee, I feel a sense of contentment. Everything may have changed over the past year, but moments like this remind me that the most important things-the ones we share-have stayed the same.

Yeji chuckles, wrapping her arms around me. "Stuck with you, huh? I guess there are worse fates." She leans up, brushing her lips against mine in a soft kiss that lingers for just a second longer than usual.

We sit like that for a moment, lost in the quiet comfort of each other's presence. The weight of everything - our love, the challenges we've faced, and the future we're building together - feels lighter when we're like this, wrapped up in a world of our own.

"When are you going to put a ring on me? Except this promise ring?" Yeji teases.

I laugh at Yeji's playful teasing, glancing down at the promise ring I'd given her. "Oh, so now you're getting impatient, huh?" I nudge her gently, smirking.

She crosses her arms and gives me a mock pout. "Well, Hyunjin's already proposing to Felix! You're falling behind, Ryu. At this rate, I might have to propose to you," she jokes, raising an eyebrow.

I grin, pulling her closer. "Oh, don't worry. I've got a plan. I'm just building up the suspense, you know? Gotta keep things interesting."

She giggles and rolls her eyes, leaning her head on my shoulder. "You better not make me wait too long. I'd hate to beat you to it."

I kiss the top of her head softly. "Trust me, Yeji, when the time comes, it'll be even more perfect than this promise ring." I hold up her hand, admiring the ring already on her finger.

She smiles, her teasing replaced with a softer, more genuine look. "I know, I'm just giving you a hard time. I'm happy as long as I'm with you."

"Good, because you're stuck with me," I say, squeezing her hand, feeling my heart swell with love for her.

"Hyunjin's gonna be so nervous tonight," Yeji says, breaking the silence with a smirk.

I laugh, imagining Hyunjin fumbling through his proposal to Felix. "Yeah, he's probably rehearsing a hundred different ways to ask right now."
