Chapter:17: WE ARE GOOD FRIENDS

"Careful...right...yeah stop" jimin held Jungkook hands whose eyes are tied with blind fold.

"Jimin where are you kidnapping me. Listen if you want money this is terrible idea" Jungkook panicked.

"Oh stop up for a minute" jimin chuckled at his funny jokes.

"Oh much are your asking from dad. Let's divide into two equally shares okay" Jungkook walked holing jimin hands like a kid.

"1....2...3...SURPRISE" people yelled loudly scaring Jungkook. Jimin smiled opening the blind fold.

"What the....Jungkook registered what is this place. It's his school. Currently he is standing in his classroom filled with his class mates.

"Oh my god" he turned towards jimin smiling. The latter just smile to him and signal Jungkook to talk to them. Jungkook took calculated steps.

"Jousha?" Jungkook said pointing one frown up man sitting there. Jousha nods "yes boss" he hugged Jungkook.

"Oh my hod you guys are grown so big" Jungkook hugged his football team happily smiling. Jimin walked to them smiling.

Time skip

"I must say you are lucky Jungkook. Heard that jimin agreed to marry you" jousha happily said watching jimin talking to other friends. Jungkook turn towards his where jousha saw.

"It's not like that. We haven't decided yet" Jungkook said watching somewhere else.

"We must say thank you to jimin. He struggled to contact each one of us. He is the reason for this surprise meeting. He told you will leave Korea in two days" Dino said. Jungkook look down with a small smile thanking jimin internally.

"Are you taking jimin along with you" jousha asked. Jungkook just gave puzzled look he haven't thought about it.

"He agreed to give up on his medical practice, ready to live this place, his beloved family all because of you. Man I very jealous how did you get away with my school crush" jousha made fun of him everyone around them laughed but Jungkook mind is somewhere else. He is thinking about jimin.

Time skip

"What happened Jungkook aren't you happy meeting them" jimin asked driving his car but time by time he is looking at Jungkook who is in very deep thought. He expected Jungkook would run around and jump because of this surprise but?

"Nothing I'm happy. jimin thank you so much for doing this" Jungkook said that half heartily jimin frown his eyes sensing something bothering his kookie.

"Can you please drop me there. I need some time alone!" Jungkook point at the river bed. Jimin concern increased. He parked the car and walked out following tensed jungkook.

"What's the issue Jungkook. You can talk to me" jimin said bitting his lips. He is also getting stressed.

"Hey, can we talk? I have something important to ask you" Jungkook asked clenching his fist.

"Sure, what's up?" Jimin smile awkwardly.

"I'm so sorry, Jimin. I apologise at the beginning itself." Jungkook look straight into jimin eyes.

"What's the matter Jungkook you are scarring me" jimin look at him puzzled.

"Jimin I know you might have lot of dreams about this but I can't marry you. I have always seen you as a dear friend, but I don't have romantic feelings for you" Jungkook fold his hands and watch jimin directly so he can convey it without any hesitation.

Jimin stood there as if someone poured ice in him. His body stiffen hearing that. He did not expect this. Are we just friends? "We've been together for so sometime, and I thought we had something special.

"We do have something special, but it's not a romantic connection. I have my own dreams and aspirations, and I want to build my own career. I don't think I can give you the kind of relationship you deserve for now" Jungkook said nodli as if his words did not hurt jimin.

"I always knew we were different, but I thought our differences could bring us closer together" jimin eyes started to form thin layer of tears.

"Jimin I always treated you as my friend never more than that. I hope you did not get wrong idea with that?" Seriously said.

"No I understand. Even I saw the same" jimin gulp back his tears and lied to Jungkook.

"I appreciate that, but I don't think it's enough. I care about you too much to lead you on or hurt you. I hope we can remain friends" Jungkook came closer hoping he did not hurt. But jimin is very clear in hiding his pain.

"Of course, we can. I value our friendship too much to let it go. Thank you for being honest with me" jimin throat started to hurt.

"I'm sorry if I hurt you, but I think this is for the best. We can still support each other and be there for each other, just as friends" he pulled jimin for a hug.

"I really appreciate it" jimin but his lower lip hardly, leaving a mark with his upper teeth. He is trying hard to control his tears. His heart is shattered.

Jimin chose to keep his emotions hidden and remained silent about his feelings for Jungkook. Despite his deep love for the other, he endured the pain of losing him without uttering a single word. It was a difficult decision to make, but he believed it was for the best. He didn't want to risk ruining their friendship or making things awkward between them. So, he kept his heartache to himself, burying it deep within his soul.

Every time he saw Jungkook, his heart ached with longing, but he never let on. He smiled and pretended like everything was okay, even though inside, he was falling apart. But he knew that this was the sacrifice he had to make for the sake of their relationship. He hoped that one day, Jungkook would understand the depth of his love, even if he never spoke a word about it.

"Thank you for understanding me jimin. You will find someone better" Jungkook held jimin hands smiling. Jimin nods his head fake smiling.

"Come let's go it's getting late" jimin turn around so that his tears won't drop. He walked to the car and sat inside holding the steering wheel tightly. He isn't want to put a single drop of tears out in front of Jungkook.
