"What question?"
Hyunjin moves like a stealthy predator, which is why Felix nearly always misses when he enters a room, if it weren't for his undeniable charm no one might even notice him waltzing around. Felix's breath gets stuck in his lungs and Minho's nonchalance falls off this balcony's ledge in a swift glance towards Hyunjin's face, the second his sight took in the tucked-in hand in the slacks' pocket and the darkness in Hyunjin's eyes, he knew he was on duty and it would be a death wish to be fooling around.
"Hyunjin" Felix murmurs softly as if greeting the boy and taking in the surprise that his presence has caused while Minho instantly rushes to showcase a quick bow, hands wrapping in front of his stomach. "Evening, Sir" His voice is smooth but steady and Felix is thrown off by the behaviour as he eyes his friend
"How many bullets will it take for you to understand, Lee?" Hyunjin's eyes never leave Felix's face and his relaxed stance sticks out like a thorn compared to his shadowed eyes and berated tone. His shoes finally make a clicking noise as he moves away from the doorway and inside the balcony, watching Felix watch Minho
Minho grits his teeth and squeezes his eyes, cursing himself out for the mistake as he attempts to correct it "Apologies, Mister Hwang" Standing upright his eyes never meet Hyunjin's as he gives one look to Felix, nodding towards him as a goodbye before he rushes out the doorframe Hyunjin was occupying earlier. "Wait Hyung--" Minho is already gone before Felix's voice can even reach him and the confusion that lights up on his face is not unnoticed by Hyunjin
Felix turns to look at the man, eyebrows furrowed and lips in a thin line. Hyunjin mirrors his expressions, but his face is relaxed and there is no confusion present when he plops down on the black and brown lounging chair, removing his eyes from Felix's face and staring ahead. "What were you two discussing?" Hyunjin's smooth voice follows into the quiet of the evening as the sun strikes its shades of obscurely opulent indigo, initiating a goodbye
"Just...nothing" Felix clears his throat, standing by the railing with his body facing Hyunjin as he watches the man and how different he looks and feels, Felix can't put a finger on it but something about Hyunjin feels divergent this evening, something similar to how he used to feel when they first met. He's not sure if that makes him feel comforted or unnerved, maybe because he doesn't know which version he knows better, this Hyunjin that feels like the one he met or the Hyunjin he had grown to know
The blond takes a swift second when he faces Felix, his legs spread on the vintage-looking chair and hand placed on the armrests, his stance screaming that he owns this place even though he's not trying to look that way, there's always been that thing about him, he always looked deathly confident and intimidating even when he wasn't trying. His dark eyes that settle on Felix force a shiver down the blue-haired's spine even when he's used to this gaze, he doesn't answer audibly but raises his brows as if that's response enough.
"Emilia!" The sudden shout nearly startled Felix enough to cause a flinch but he held himself in time, eyes widening as he looked at Hyunjin entirely too baffled by his acts. His shout had been loud and sudden enough to cause goosebumps on Felix's skin, the thudding in his chest a result of Hyunjin's recklessness. Not for a second does the blond look away from Felix, watching the surprise enter his face at his rash behavior and he feels guilty immediately after, eyes softening at the sight of Felix's shock
"Sorry, sorry Mister Hwang" The hasty apology ignites a rush of anger within him as he hears clacking and glass being placed on the table next to him, likely the liquor he had demanded, but he doesn't see his brown-haired servant shake in fear because his eyes are stilled on Felix, watching him watch her with pity before he hears the clicking of her heels disappear out the room. He hates how much Felix pays attention to everyone but him, the idea only worsens his state, and without his knowledge, his jaw is latched tightly when Felix looks back at him
